I arrive at Simon's house at 5:00pm the next day for the party. Abby and Nick are already there. Nick's dressed as Christiano Ronaldo, Simon as the Eleventh Doctor, Abby as Hermione Granger (which, for some reason, looks adorable) and I'm dressed as Amy Pond. Simon and I are doing the costumes together.

When I greet them, Abby and I look at each other for a few seconds. I then say, "Sh-should we get going?", and everyone nods.

You see, lately I've had an extremely strong feeling that Abby is April. I always secretly liked her so if for some mad reason she is her, I wouldn't be unhappy at all.

We head to my car and we sit in to drive to Bram's house. We're playing The 1975 in the car because I always control the music when I'm driving. Abby and I are singing along, and I think Simon and Nick have fallen asleep.

Oh, well. Simon is a retro music addict and Nick basically worships Drake. Can't expect them to drool over Matty Healy all day every day like Abby and I do.

Jesus, I'm talking too much about Abby. Or April. I don't know.

We arrive at the house after a few songs and we head in the gate. We're met by Morgan, smiling up at us. I roll my eyes.

"Hi, guys!", she says cheerily.

"Hey.", I say dully.

I could not be any less excited to see a person. I suddenly slip my hand into Abby's, and we walk in through the door, as Morgan eyes us. She links arms with Nick and Simon and Bram exchange looks.

When we head into the house, the sound of loud music makes me anxious, and I move in closer to Abby. She must be able to read me like a book, because she puts her arm around me, and whispers, "You'll be fine.", in my ear, and it calms me instantly.

The guys begin to play beer pong, and I just sit back and watch. I have never taken a drink, and I'm the designated driver tonight. I don't get the fun in getting wasted and hooking up with whoever's near. I see that Abby gets from beside Martin Addison, who has this weird crush on her, and sit beside me. She's only had one drink. That's what I like about Abby. She doesn't get too carried away.

"Are you OK, Lee?", she asks me over the music. Do I really look that miserable?

"You ask me that every single day.", I reply.

"I have to make sure my girl is OK."

For some reason, my heart stops. My girl.

"Are you drunk?", I ask stupidly.

"No. Why?"

"Because you just referred to me as 'your girl'."

This is something I really hate about myself. I always dig too deep into things.

Abby bites her lip and looks like she's about to say something. Then, the song changes. Its TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME by The 1975. Some song for a Halloween party.

"Oh! We love this song! Come on, Leah!", she says excitedly as she grabs my hand and we go into a corner to dance.

After a moment or two, I get comfortable with this dancing thing and I begin to smile and sing. We do all the hand movements to the lyrics. I'm full on giggling by the end of the song.

The next song is Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, which I can't help but laugh at. Queen's masterpiece after The 1975's poppiest song. Great selection, Bram.

Everyone gets the centre of the yard to sing and dance along. I think I'm the only person completely sober. I'm not too sure about Abby, after her calling me "her girl". I don't know why that's bothering me so much. I mean, girls refer to each other like that all the time. She's probably not even April.

When the song ends, our group heads inside to do karaoke. Bram and Simon do a song together, and to be honest, they look adorable. Then, Abby and I go up and do Love It If We Made It. We've been obsessed with it ever since we met. She was the one who got me into the band.

When the song ends, we go our separate ways. I go over to Simon. God bless him, he's extremely drunk. He's talking gibberish to me, and I just go along with it.

I then need to go to the bathroom, so I head up the stairs. I open a door and it turns out to be a bedroom.

And there they are, Abby and Nick, making out.

I just look at them for a minute and they look back at me. I chuckle nervously.

"Sorry, I was just looking for the bathroom. We're, um, leaving soon. Meet you in a few minutes.", I say, almost tripping as I head out the door.

Well, she's definitely not April anyway. April told me this morning that she has thought about kissing me nonstop, which means she likes me. And Abby definitely doesn't like me.

A few minutes later, I'm driving my 3 friends home, and now I'm just realising what'll happen if I tell Morgan about Nick and Abby. I don't mind being kicked out, but being outed. I couldn't bear it.

Abby and I are staying over at Simon's for the night, because we have the rest of the week off now. I'm dreading sleeping on the floor with Abby, but what can I do? My mother's out for the night. Again. For the second time this week.

I drop Nick home, and then Abby and I carry Simon in. The poor guy is about to pass out. His parents are asleep but left the door open, so we carry him up to his room and give him a glass of water.

Abby and I then get the blankets and make our own DIY beds. We change out of our costumes, me in the bathroom and Abby in the closet. We head back in and sit into our beds. I go over to turn off the light first.

"Me and Nick aren't serious.", Abby says. "He kissed me and I was just after a drink so I kissed back. I just wanted to tell you that because you're my best friend."

I smile a bit. I should ask her, but what if she isn't and I make a fool out of myself. Nah, not tonight. Especially in front of Si.

"Thanks, Suso.", I say, and I fall asleep a short time later.
