When I reach the Waffle House at 8:25, I see Abby leaning up against her car in her white MFC hoodie and a pair of leggings. The suns just coming up.

I park the car and I exit it. I close the door and Abby looks in my direction. She's smiling at me.

"Merry Christmas, Leah.", she says softly.

I really don't know what to say.

"You're blushing.", she says.

"I can't help it."

She chuckles.

"So, I've been hanging out with my online girlfriend for the past 4 months and I had no clue.", I say. I'm a mess right now.

"Yup. Pretty much."

"I was full sure it was Lucy until Matty told me."

She laughs.

"Yup, we both kinda sensed that. Matty told me that you were delighted."

"I still can't believe you guys did that for me. It was the best night of my life."

"It was nothing." She pauses to get something in her back pocket. It's an envelope. "By the way,", she hands it to me, "here you go."

I open it up and its the ticket for next years concert. I smile.

"This is confirmation that it's really you.", I say softly.

We stare at each other for a moment. Then, I speak.

"Why did you kiss me at the show?"

She sighs and takes my hand.

"Because I couldn't contain myself anymore, and I was so excited because I knew Matty would be telling you."

"Oh, Mr Healy."

She chuckles and then looks in my eyes. Its driving me crazy.

"Can we do that again?", she asks softly.

I don't even have to say it. I cup her cheeks and I attach my lips onto hers.

Just for a few seconds.

I then pull back.

Abby looks flabbergasted. She then smiles at me and I smile back.

"I love you, Abby Suso.", I say. She smiles at me.

"I love you, Leah Burke."

She kisses me this time. My hands fall to her waist, her hands on my cheeks.

This is the best Christmas I've ever had.

At 8:45, I head back to my car. Before I reach it, I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn around.

"Can I stay at your place today? And maybe a night or two?", Abby asks me.

"Sure.", I say. "Why do you need to stay at my place?"

She sucks in her lips.

"I'm kicked out."

I stare at her.

"Why?"

"My cousins are over and they're homophobic as shit and last night, I made the stupid decision to come out to them and they practically pushed me out the door. I spent the night parked here in the car."

"Jesus, Abby, I'm so sorry."

I pull her in for a hug. I then give her a soft kiss.

"You can stay with us for as long as you need."

When we meet back at my house, I see that mom and Wells are already having breakfast. We walk in the door holding hands. I'm already out to Wells so I know he won't be weird about us. It nauseates me to admit that we're really close.

"Happy Christmas, mom!", I call.

She comes out to the hall.

"Merry Christmas, Lee." She smiles at Abby. "Who's this?"

Abby and I smile at each other and I wrap my arm around her shoulders.

"Mom, meet my girlfriend, Abby."

She breaks out into a smile. Then, she starts crying. She wraps her arms around us.

"I'm so happy, sweethearts!", she says as she lets us go.

"Thanks so much, Miss Burke.", Abby says.

"Uh, mom, can Abby stay here a while? Home situation."

"Sure she can."

We then have our breakfast, continue opening the presents and sing Christmas carols. Its a perfect Christmas.
