Colin's POV

The next morning comes a pounding headache, the blaring sun shines through the blinds of the window, hurting my aching eyes.

"Mmmm..." a sound from beside my bed pushes me awake.

"Who the fuck's there!" I snap, jumping up. I immediately regret it, my whole body reacting to the sudden movement. My head spins, the whole room spinning into a blur. I close my eyes and sit on the end of the mattress. It takes a while for me to remember the night before. The pills..Fox..Tinashe. Shit. Fucking SHIT. Hurriedly, I grab around me, trying to figure out where I am. Fuck. The hotel....Dwayne brought me back to the hotel. I look onto the ground next to my bed, Dwayne is sleeping fully clothed, his body taking up a good portion of the floor, drool coming out the side of his mouth. How did this dumbass do so well at LSU? I shake my head and sit up, trying to massage my headache with trembling fingers. My hands won't stop shaking. I get up and search for water through the mini fridge. I need to drink water, flush this shit from my system.

Tinashe? Is she alright? Is she fuckin dead? Damn, Damn, Damn...Out of all the things that the PR team could do for me; I have no idea if Becca can work me out of this one. A fuckin drug bust...with a possible minor passed out..maybe dead. I feel my chest tighten at the thought. Vera.

I reach for my phone, but before I can dial Vera, I see an incoming call from Becca. Shit.

"What the fuck is going on?" Becca's pissed, more pissed off than I've ever heard her before.

                        "Becca..."

"Do you know how fucking shocked I was, to wake up this morning and get a call about some drug bust that went on in Miami, and how two football players were sited there? And to have you match one of the descriptions!?"

            I stay quiet.

"It's not that fucking hard to narrow it down because its so close to the photoshoot!" Becca is fuming.

"Colin, were you there or not? BE HONEST WITH ME!"

I hesitate. THere's no point in lying. If I do, she'll just find out the truth.

                         "I was."

"Okay. Did you see the drugs? Was it a drug house?"

                        "I did, it was."

            "Okay, did you take any?"

                        Silence.

            "Colin...."

                        "I had one pill."

Becca is silent, the sigh is enough to let me know the level of disappointment she feels. I expect her to hang up on me, but she doesn't.

"Look Colin, don't answer the phone to anyone, and don't talk to anyone until I give you the okay. No texting, no calling, not even to Vera!"

                        "What?"

"Just listen to me dammit!" Becca hangs up, and I sit on the phone, long after she's not on the line.

Vera's POV

"You know what Leah, I'm thinking about going back to Washington for a little bit. Just to spend time with my aunt and the family, let 'em know about the baby and everything."

Leah watches me from her spot at the dining room table.

"Okay, just to visit though right?"

"Of course, you know I couldn't leave you out here," I wink at Leah before making my way back into the kitchen. Turning on the oven light, I bend down to peek inside and see if my peanut butter cookies are ready. I'm so damn hungry.

"I've been a little homesick for the 206," Leah says, standing up to walk over to the living room.

"Me too, honestly, I miss the cold mucky weather, especially the rain," I laugh. Leah turns on the tv, plopping onto the sofa.

"Mmmmm, the rain. Gosh, I miss the damn rain. Who knew I'd be saying that!"

"I'm wondering if I'll give birth in Washington," I say thoughtfully, "You know, to be around family."

"I guess that would make sense."

"Yeah, and Washington is home, no matter what."

Colin's POV

At the photo shoot later on in the day, I keep my hand on my phone. I have several missed calls from Vera, but I resist the urge to answer. I don't want to pile onto the bullshit that I made for Becca to clean up. I sigh before checking another text from her.

R u ok? Did I do anything wrong?

I grind my teeth as I wait for them to set up the screen for the next few photos. I type quickly.

Baby girl, its impossible for you to do anything wrong. I love u, just swamped w work. Ill call soon as I cn.

Sorry Becca. I can't leave my baby girl hanging like that for too long. I put down the mouthguard I'm advertising in this photoshoot and run a hand across my face. No call from Becca, and no sign if I'm in the clear. The headache still lingers, and the shakes throughout my body haven't fully gone.

"Wass good bruh!?" Dwayne's voice comes from behind me. I turn around, clenching my jaw. Sensing my anger and irritation he backs up. "Damn, what's your problem?"

"What's my fuckin problem? You fuckin brought me into a fuckin drug house!"  I have to take a step back and breathe as several photographers turn to look at us.

"I swear, if something shitty comes out of this, you're done," I snap under my breath.

"Shitty? What? Are you talkin about, Tinashe? Man, she blacks out all the damn time."

"Dwayne, we were fuckin sited there. The PR team is trying to clean things up right now." Dwayne gives me a worried look.

"Yeah, you fuckin dumbass." I say quietly, turning to face a photographer calling for my attention.

I feel my phone vibrate and quickly answer it, motioning for the photographer to wait.

                    "Colin?"

                         "Becca?"

"Were you at all alone with a young girl at the house last night?"

                        "Tinashe?"

            "She's accusing you of rape."

            I drop my phone.
