Colin's POV

"Come here Colin," Becca's voice is gentle. She's trying to keep me calm, she knows I'm a bomb waiting to explode. I'm unable to move. Unable to breathe. Several police officers enter the room; walkie-talkies going off on their hips, lights are flashing. I'm frozen in time, can't fuckin think straight.

"He's been watching her for quite some time," Becca murmurs. I look up to her, she's sitting on the bed going through a macbook. She looks toward me, silently beckoning me while looking towards the cops. I make my way next to her onto the stiff mattress.

"Are you supposed to be on that? Where did you find that?" I ask anxiously. I hunch over her to keep the cops from seeing what she's doing.

"If they see me with it, they'll take it. But honestly, I don't trust cops. Never did. Let's take this outside to the car," Becca says quickly. I nod and stand up as we both make our way toward the door, Becca close behind me with the laptop.

"Hey!" One cop exclaims. I pause in my tracks and turn.

                        "Yes?" I ask slowly.

The cop looks me up and down and then smiles.

"One hell of a game ya'll played. I'm a Seahawks fan, but even I know a good game from the Niners when I see one," he laughs, reaching out to shake my hand. I let out a sigh of relief, smile, and try to be polite.

"Thank you sir. I appreciate you all coming out here to find...my fiancee.." I say uneasily, painfully. Even if it isn't true, even if she gave that ring back..... in my eyes....I can't change the way I feel about her. Even if she doesn't want me, in my heart she will always be mine.

"Ok, well we're doing the best we can to find her, and we will let you know as soon as we find anything," he says, giving me a pat on the shoulder.

                        "Let's go," Becca whispers quickly.

As soon as we get into the car we're shielded by dark tinted windows. Becca flips the macbook open and opens several files.

"The punk left it without a password?"

"Looks like he did," she says, clicking on different things. She opens a file to reveal numerous different photos. Photos of Vera.

"Lemme see," I grab the laptop from Becca's lap and click through the photographs myself. There are pictures of Vera walking outside of what is probably her aunt's house, Vera on her phone, Vera going into a gas station. In all of them her round protruding middle is visible. I feel my heart beat faster, seeing her swollen with life. Life that we both created. I slide the macbook off my lap back onto Becca. I put my head in my hands. Fuck. What do I do? What can I do? For all I know Cam is miles away. With my baby. My babies.

Becca clicks around as I lean my head against the seat in front of me. Faith. I have to have faith. She's gonna be fine. My chest tightens. Becca's fingers stop typing and I hear her gasp. I look up to follow her gaze. There's a car in front of us, lights bright. It's a red Dodge Charger. Squinting my eyes I try to get a good look at who's in the driver's seat. The outline of a round nose and full lips is undeniable. Trish. I put two and two together as soon as I recognize her. Jumping out of the car I slam the door in shock, anger, adrenaline pumping through my body. This bitch, at this motel... As soon as she sees me her eyes grow wide and she immediately switches the car to reverse,  turning for a clear escape, speeding backwards in the parking lot.
