Chp 23: My Heart Will Go On

Present day Storybrooke, Dorothy and Edward are having to deal with living without each other as long as their hearts are poisoned, leaving one to stay at the apartment and the other gets a room at Roni's. Dorothy is aware that the Wicked Witch is watching, leading to Dorothy smashing a crystal ball. Unfortunately at this point there is nothing that even Renee, Liam, Grace, or Zelena can do, but they believe that Death might be their answer to stopping the Wicked Witch. With no luck finding Mushu, Zelena comes up with a solution, which is using a crystal ball to trap her other half. At Roni's, Renee, Zelena and the rest of the major power-players, noticed a flash of light appearing a llama then Henry reveals "is actually the Wicked Witch" transformed into a llama by him, revealing that he is the Author, thus giving her "exactly what she deserves." Later, Liam meets with and makes a deal with Eclipse: if Liam will take Death's place for an entire day, Death will regain the Blue fairy's soul and bring her back to the living. Liam tells Renee and Zelena of the plan, which Renee strongly disagrees with, but Liam goes ahead anyway. Liam is accompanied by Caitlyn to reap various people. Eventually, however, Liam has to reap a 10-year-old girl with the flu, which he refuses, and the girl begins to make a miraculous recovery. However, due to the change in the 'natural order', others die instead. Failing in the deal, Liam reaps the girl, admitting that though the natural order sucks, it must be adhered to. While Liam is acting as Death, Over at Roni's, Renee, Grace, Syrina, and Zelena are joined by Ella and her daughter, Alexandra, who is happy to help out with assimilating the new children into Storybrooke. After Renee stopped by to see Robin Hood involving her visions, she runs into Sean, who tells Renee that Ella took off with a rifle. Renee believes she's going after her step-family. With help from Grace, Syrina and Zelena, they start looking for Ella by using her shoe to locate her. When they catch up with Ella, Renee, Grace, Syrina and Zelena learn that Ella wants to find Drizella. Then Ella gets away, but soon the Black fairy shows up and takes advantage of the situation by sending Renee, Grace, Syrina, and Zelena "off the chessboard". Thanks to Grace's quick thinking, she looks at the book to find out how to bring them to Drizella. When Ella arrived to the stable, she finds an injured Drizella who was faking it as bait, when Lady Tremaine points the shotgun at her. Drizella then threatens to shoot Ella but stops and she learns that Adam is alive and that they are in his farm. As they are reunited, Lady Tremaine threatens to shoot them but Ella protects them but is stabbed with Lady Tremaine's poisoned cane. Renee, Grace, Syrina and Zelena arrive and stop Lady Tremaine from doing any more damage. Grace uses her magic to heal Ella. Later on, Renee and the others finds out that Grace is the Sorcerer from the Enchanted Forest. As part of Tremaine's punishment for stabbing Ella, Tremaine is jailed and forced to do clean up detail under the munchkin's supervision. Meanwhile, Liam is surprised by Eclipse, who has come to reclaim his ring. Liam realizes that Death's game was rigged, and Eclipse brushes off the accusation, revealing that he will still retrieve the Blue fairy's soul as Liam has learned a lesson about the natural order of things. Eclipse also reveals to Liam that there is some important realization about human souls that he must discover. Eclipse then creates a portal to Purgatory and appears to the Blue Fairy, and instructs Blue not to scratch at the spell he placed on the Purgatory memories or she'll go back. Eclipse then unites the soul into a screaming and pained Blue Fairy. Later, Wish Grayson summons Death to kill him before he hurts anyone else, Grayson calls Zelena and explains that he feels that they are wicked and ridding the world of both of them is for the greater good. Zelena disagrees, but reminds wish Grayson of how good he is and his love for his family. Grayson unexpectedly impales Death with the scythe. In a state of disbelief, Eclipse doesn't react with much more than a brief glance of bewilderment before he and his scythe crumble to dust. Wish Grayson becomes Death, he returns home to have dinner with Zelena and Syrina.
