(Craig X Monte)

Craig's POV:

As I caught up with Monte, I grabbed his waist from behind, lifting him in mid air. He screamed in excitement as I spun him around.

"Put me down, Craig!" He said, happily. I simply smiled, doing as he asked. As his feet hit the ground, he turned around to face me, kissing me as he wrapped his arms around my neck. "I love you, Craig."

"And I, you." I replied, gently brushing the black and blond hair from Monte's eyes. "Run away with me."

"Craig, I-" he began, but I quickly cut him off.

"We can be together. Start our own family. Monte, I love you like no tomorrow. And I want to be with you. No matter what it takes."

"What about Michael?" Monte's soft smile faded as he spoke.

"He can come, too." I said, putting my hand on his cheek.

"Craig, I'm sorry. I can't risk Michael. I can't risk him being hurt. For any reason. And-" Monte took a deep breath, trying to find his words. "And I don't want to leave my mom, either. She's having a hard time as is. What? With dad moving out and all."

"I understand." I say as my smile faded into a look of dejection. "Just remember, I will always love you." With that, I turned away. Walking back to my house to finish packing my things. My family was forcing me to move out to Ohio, leaving my friends behind for good.

I wanted Monte to run away with me because I love him. And I knew that was the only way I'd see him again.

"Wait!" Monte called from behind. I turned around, only to see him holding a piece of paper in one hand, a necklace in the other. "Here." he handed me both as he began to cry. "Remember me, babe.  This may be the last time we see each other, but it won't go unmembererable." I smile as tears start to run down my own cheeks. Upon looking at the necklace, I realize it's a locket. Opening it, I see a picture of Monte and I from our first date. I smile as I remember that day. We went to this park and he let me push him on the swings. I laughed a bit at the memory of him and I telling dirty jokes. He was the first person I met at a new school. My first boyfriend, even. I will never forget how he would help me with my homework before school even started, so I would get an actual grade on it.

"Monte," I called out, looking up from the locket, only to see he had already gone. "Thank you. For loving me." I whisper, tears streaming down my face. I look down at the paper, unfolding it as I began to read.

Craig,

I just wanted you to know that I have always loved you. I know this will be the last time we meet, but it won't be forgotten. I love you to the ends of the Earth and that will never change. I hope someday, we can meet again. <3
