There was a light slapping on my cheek and someone speaking. But I couldn't quite make it out what that person was saying. Then I realized it was Tyns' voice prying me out of that darkness.

"Emmeline! Emmeline wake up! It's time to wake up!" Tyn almost shouted in my ear, his hand slapping my cheek lightly.

I start to open my eyes and realize Tyn is leaning over me, he was really quite close considering I was laying down. And my body realizing I was conscious now, returned feeling to its extremities. A heat comes over my face as I realize what that weight on my chest was and my eyes pop open, a heat comes to my face and I punch Tyn in the jaw. He grunts in pain and recoils from me. I wince and whimper as pain blooms in my left shoulder as I try to sit up.

Tyn grabs onto my left arm roughly and makes me cry out. "What was that for Experiment 3!?" Tyn shouts at me angrily, clenching my arm harshly.

"Ow! Let go of my arm! That hurts!" I shout back, trying to pull my arm out of his grip. But only causing more pain to myself. "I punched you because your hand was on my breast!"

Tyn gives me a shocked look and let's go of my arm. "Oh, I didn't realize. I'm sorry, I deal with male subjects most of the time. And that's usually where I place my hand to wake them up."

Likely story.... I think as I glare at him, rubbing my arm where he was clenching it. "Hmph... That's one way to wake a person up, grope them until they punch you."

His face turns to annoyance. "I wasn't groping you, we were genuinely worried about you. We thought you had died, but no. You just have a dislocated shoulder and a huge gash on your face. We thought you had bled out when we saw the pool of blood, but you didn't."

It was my turn to look surprised. "What? Shouldn't I have trouble looking at you then?"

"Nope!" Tyn gives me a wide grin. "All of my work has accumulated to something so far! You have just a little bit of regenerative power!"

I was speechless, and kept staring at him. Not sure what to think. What the hell has he been doing to me?? This has just felt like torture honestly!

"Don't believe me? Have a look for yourself." Tyn grabs one of the steel trays and dumps its contents, then he offers it to me.

I grab it and look at myself. There was a large scratch down the left side of my face that had already scabbed over. And it looked like it was shrinking as I was watching it. My chest started to fill with.... Joy?

"It stopped bleeding a couple minutes after it opened. And your shoulder went back into place as soon as we set you on the table. I was so glad to realize that you were still alive and that you were healing!" Tyn clapped his hands as he laughed a little bit, grinning wildly at me.

I start to laugh and actually reach up to touch the scab with my hand, it was hard and itched a little bit. More laughter started to come from me, then I threw my hands up and squeal with laughter. Throwing the pan and instantly regretting my decision as pain spiked through my body from my shoulder. I curse and put my arm down quickly, placing my hand on my shoulder. Tyn laughs at me and moves to lean on a table.

I glare at him a little bit. "This is your fault damnit! Stop laughing at me!" I shout at Tyn, even though I was still chuckling myself.

"I know it is, but it's not my fault when you make a fool of yourself." Tyn explains, wiping one of his eyes under his glasses. "Your shoulder will be better in a couple of days with how your healing is going."

I sigh and look at him, then my stomach grumbles painfully. I hold my stomach and look at him. "You think I could get something to eat. All I've had is that granola bar, and I'm pretty sure I used that up running."
