Wait....

Where the fuck am I...?

I felt weightless, and foggy, like I knew I wasn't really just floating. But I couldn't tell where my body was, nor was I sure that I wasn't unconscious. It didn't feel like it, at least not quite. I opened my eyes and all I saw was white, it was blinding how purely white it was. Like I was staring into a lightbulb directly.

Panic starts to seep in as I look around and see more of the nothing around me. Where the fuck am I? Wasn't I just doing something? Please tell me that I'm not dead! I jump as a pair of black eyes peers at me from the whiteness, then it seems like more of Flammes forms in front of me. Everything comes back to me and more panic sets in along with confusion. I start to frantically look around for a moment and let out a squeak as I see color start to come to the emptiness.

"Please, don't panic. You're safe, I'm sorry for how I had to make us meet." Flammes said softly, her voice seeming to echo.

"H-how can I not panic!? You.... You.... I don't know what you did! But now I'm here!" I start to splutter out, watching as she walks closer to me and the space around us starts to more closely resemble what I saw in that dream from a long ass time ago. "Oh gods.... My first fucking mission and I fuck everything up! They'll never let me out of the facility again..."

"Emmeline, please listen to me." Her hands grab onto the side of my face and I fall silent. "Ease yourself. You will not be blamed for this, as what is happening is out of your control. This was meant to happen and could not have been changed in any way." Flammes gives me a soft smile and I feel myself relax a little bit. "I have been waiting a long time to get my message through to someone, you were one of few to hear me. But you did not understand my message."

I nod a couple of times and sigh as I am placed on the warm grass, glad that I was placed down. "I don't work very well with riddles.... Or... People now." I say, pulling myself out of her grip now that I was standing on my own feet. I still felt very weightless. But as long as I could feel in here, I didn't want her touching me. "Was that planned too?"

Flammes expression transitions into a slightly saddened one. "No... That was not planned... And it was not something I could have warned you about. If I had known, I would have tried as hard as I could to have stopped that." Flammes suddenly moves a little bit closer to me. "But that is not what I have come so far and done so much to get us face to face for. I have come to tell you the dark future we will come to have if certain people are left in power."

"What do you-"

The scenery is suddenly disturbed by an ear-splitting sound and hot wave of air.

***************

Tyn grits his teeth and chews on his nail as he paces in front of the barrier that Flammes created. He had thrown everything he could at it just to try and get it pried off of the plane. They were very exposed here, and he was taking teams out as much as he possibly could. More people would be sent from the Homni institute, and Gail was oddly calm with the news of this happening. Tyn looked at his wristwatch and calculated how much time they had until they would arrive for rescue.

"Roughly 10 hours... That's fine... It's fine..." He said to the empty plane, panic growing as he looked inside the nearly opaque shield to try and see what was going on. "That's completely fine."
