It was dark...

Pitch black to be exact....

Something crawled on my skin... It felt like spider legs. Spiders were beginning to crawl all over my body, spinning a thin web over it. They make me shiver as I feel their tiny feet running over me, and with how many there were. It wasn't long before I was fully cocooned. They had done their job in making me immobile.

But I was defiant in getting out! My body stretched and clawed at the webbing as soon as they were finished. But they were webbing up every hole I was making! Even though it was pitch black, I could still see their slender bodies. There was no reason for me to resist them, yet I did. My head kept turning as I kept tearing, straining for anything I can set my determination on.

Then it appeared! A small blue light that made my determination burst into a large roaring flame. I started to violently tear at the silk-like strings, throwing off the spiders as I fight the hold of the cocoon. The window continued to get brighter and it started to gain a square shape, as if I was getting closer to it. I fought until my hand was free, then I started to tear the rest of the cocoon off of me.

Once it was off of me, and the spiders were gone, I stood up and dashed for the light. It was as large as a window now, and I jumped through it without a second thought of where it may take me. The light blinds me as I come in, bright as a sunny day in California. I stood up and started to look around, confused as to where I was.

I was in a meadow, with flowing grass and hills. Mountains could be seen a good ways away, and a creek could be heard moving nearby. A lone oak tree sat on one of the hills, I supposed by the creek, as that's where the sounds of the water was coming from. My mouth was hanging open at the surprise of coming out on the surface, I hadn't seen the sky in what seemed like forever. There were birds playing in the air, and crickets singing their summer songs.

When I started walking towards the tree, they quieted down. I arrive at the tree and place a hand on it, feeling the rough bark on my hands was like feeling fresh laundry. The landscape was so beautiful I almost cried out of relief, that I was out of that white-walled hell.

"This is so.... So beautiful...." I whisper, looking around again.

The sun felt wonderful on my skin, a nice warm welcome.

But.... Something kept tugging at my chest... And it was coming from the creek...

So I regrettably pull myself from the tree to walk over to the creek, kneeling on the ground to look into it. The water was clear, and I could see the stones. Even little fish and crayfish that swam away as soon as I approached the water. I also noticed the mirror reflection of myself, and grimaced at the large scar on the side of my face. As well as the small scars from past procedures Doctor Tyn had done.

Suddenly my reflection jumps out at me and grabs onto the front of my shirt. I cried out in surprise as the weight of it started to pull me down, my hands instinctively place themselves on the edge of the bank to stop myself from going into the water. I was only inches away from the water and the face of my animated reflection.

It's face twists as if it was still in the water, a chilling smile spreading on its lips. "Listen closely, and be wary to what I say." It hissed at me, it's voice sounding like it was underwater. "Pay close attention to the Greek rooms and avoid the red-maned bulldog. Watch the skies for the great steal bird and for signs of rain. Otherwise you will be pulled into the great white bog."

"What?" I ask in confusion, trying hard not to tip over into the water.

"All of this you must do to survive, and you must survive at all costs! Otherwise the light will be drained of the Earth in a great rush. And all life will be gone."

"Wh-what do you mean!? Stop speaking in riddles!"

"You must survive..." The mirror version of myself reaches up and plunges its hand into my chest.

"GAAAHH!!!" I scream, bolting up in my bed.

I shiver and start to shake terribly. I curl my legs up to my chest and stare at my blankets. Sweat dripped off of my nose and down my cheeks. My body felt cold and there was a horrible feeling in my chest.

"What in the fuck was that...!?" I whisper.
