ch. 12 the world falls

It was morning when Rin and Obito woke up to Kou crying. At first they didn't hear what was going on outside, so they decided to go check on him.

When they went in, they picked him up and cuddled him. They did the best they could to get him to be calm when they heard crys of pain and terror. Obito looked out his window and saw Konoha halfly destroyed.

He looked at Rin in a worried face and gulped. He took her hand and ran outside to get a better glance at what's happening before running away with them.

They saw people running to safety, Mother's trying to find their children, hurt or injured people lying in the ground. Obito blinked once and looked up to see Pein just jumping down from the mountains and sending down his greatest blow.

"What are we gonna do, Obito-kun?" Rin asks him as she holds Kou in her arms trying to comfort him.

"We going to run to safety." Obito said holding her tightly and running with the crowd. On the way there was difficult, they always had to pass someone who would be coming the other direction from where they were going.

Obito turned to the right making sure no danger was to come. He saw a child crying, and to his left there was a mother who was yelling for his son.

"Rin, go ahead! I'll catch up! Get Kou to safety!" Obito yelled not giving her a chance to speak. She cried and held her hand out for him but quickly ran to safety.

Obito ran up to the child and picked him up with the little strength he had left and tried to get through the crowds of terrorized people to get to his mother.

When he got there, he looked straight in the mothers eye and smiled.

"Is this your son?" Obito asked the mother who looked at him and cried.

"Yes! Yes! Thank you so much!" The mother sobbed grabbing her boy who was in his arms and running with him. Obito started in the same direction, but got distracted again, by a woman being squashed by a remains of a building.

He ran to the lady, and started to pick the rocks up one by one. He handed the lady his hand and picked her up and carried her to safety. She looked at him and smiled as she cried. She hugged him as he was carrying her.

Once they got to safety, he gave her to the people who was getting people to safety. Obito sighed as a strong force grabbed him and pulled him to where pein flew.

"How did I not know you did this?" Obito roared with anger.

"I told you consenqences was to be followed if you say no to my question." Pein said holding a hand out choking him.

"You can't just kill all these innocent people, you could've punished me instead." Obito barked at him.

"All these people shall know pain..." Pein said

"Victor's who look and plan ahead." Obito said looking in his eyes and breaks the gravity between them two.
