ch. 11 the final answer

11. The final answer

Three weeks have passed, and Obito grew more anxious about what pain had said weeks earlier. Only, he couldn't fight anyways because his chakra was sorted out of his body.

He talked to Rin about it, to see if she had some advice she could give him.

"Well... Either way he's gonna destroy the village... But that's not the case. What does your heart say?" Rin asks him as they sit down their bed.

"It tells me to join them so the village won't be hurt." Obito regretfully says staring out of the setting sun out the window.

"You can't join them... Even if it means the whole village is hurt." Rin said massaging his back soft and gently.

"But why? There's no use." Obito said releasing a sigh.

"Well you can either Fight for your right or you can give in... What are you going to choose?" Rin asked him in a more demanding tone and looked at him the same way as she did to courage him when they were younger.

"I want to give it my all, even if it kills me." Obito said staring in her eyes. Rin loosens up her demanding look and gave him more of a comforting look.

She cuddled him to make him feel better. No matter how safe they were going to be, he knew he would come for his answer.

The next day~

"Sensei!" Obito yelled knocking on his door loudly. He opens the door to find Obito in a rush.

"What's going on..." Minato groaned in exhaustion.

"I mean Lord fourth...." Obito continues as he catches his breath. "The akatsuki-"

When Minato heard 'Akatsuki' he grabbed him and made him sit down. He motioned him to stay there and he'll be right back. He had to tell Kushina and Naruto to stay in their rooms for important reasons.

He comes back and sits down next to Obito who looked worried. It looked like, he was thinking about something but didn't know how to quite say it.

"So what is it with the Akatsuki?" Minato asked looking in his direction.

"Their coming to get my answer, they want me to come back and if I say no... I'm afraid the whole village might be wiped out entirely." Obito said in a worried tone. Minato listened carefully and took a moment to think.

"It seems like we underestimated them..." He mumbles under his breath.

"What do I do?" Obito said wiping his sweaty hands clean.

"Well, I think you should say no. Even if the village gets hurt there is no final rest. I'll have the gatekeepers get a clear lookout at night. Also I'll warn Danzo to get his men ready for battle for the sake of the village." Minato said standing up and getting his hokage gear on.

"No matter what. We are going to win!" Minato continued and peacefully smiled at Obito.

*Flashback*

"Agh!" Obito screamed in agony. His body was aching from the hit he has just taken and went to retreat. As he was hoping from tree to tree, he noticed they were following him to finish what they had started.

They were long distance, but Obito didn't dare to stop. Long day, his feet were tired and they were still following him. He eventually crosses the path oh his on Sensei.

"Sensei!" Obito jumped down from the tree right next to him. Look down at him, Minato smiled.

"What's the status?" Minato asks wrapping his wounds, stopping then from bleeding more.

"3 rouge ninjas, still tracing me and I can't fight them..." Obito whimpered as he bandaged his wounds.

"Then we'll fight together." Minato said patting his shoulders.

"I don't think I can since of my wounds..." Obito said looking at him.

"You'll be fine. I'm right here." Minato encouraged him. Obito looked away for a second, thinking restlessly.

"What if we lose... We won't finish our mission!" Obito yelled out to him, making Minato flash to him and bend down to him.

"We'll win this one. No matter what." Minato said smiling down upon him.

"No matter what..." Obito repeated under his breath as he stood next to him waiting for his victims to get around.

*End of flashback*

"No matter what.." Obito repeated under his breath.
