I wake up to a shriek in the other room and I cringe at the noise before realizing what it's from and grinning widely.

"Mommy!" Luke tells as he runs into my room in his boxers. I laugh as he jumps in my bed and begins peppering kisses to my face.

"Good morning, baby boy." I smile, and Luke squeaks, hopping up and running out of the room again. I raise an eyebrow and follow him to his nursery to find him tugging on the Christmas penguin onesie we bought for him recently.

"Help please, mommy!" He asks, trying to rush pulling it up his legs and over his arms all at the same time.

"Slow down, babe." I chuckle, moving his hands and kissing his tummy. He giggles as I help him step in and put his arms through before zipping it up.

"Yours now, mommy!" He shrieks excitedly as he's already left the room and run to mine.

He digs in my drawers for the similar onesie and then throws it at me when he finds it, and I glare playfully at him as I take off the t shirt I'm wearing and put on the onesie, except mine doesn't have full length legs, just shorts.

The small blonde attempts to run out of the room again but I grab his arm and tug him back to me.

"Lu, baby, I know you're excited." I smile as I sit on the bed and pull him in my lap. He pouts, knowing I'm about to correct him, and begins kissing my face. "But you know better than to run and yell in the house, okay?"

"Mommy!" He whines, and I pat his bum warningly. "Fiiine. I be good, but- presents? Pees?" He whines, laying on the baby talk so I'll give him what he wants.

"I suppose you can go open the presents mommy got you." I grin as Luke squirms off my lap with a shriek and runs to the living room, where a Christmas tree is set up and clutterly decorated with all of my huge collection of ornaments (Luke insisted we use all of them, even though most years I only use about half.)

I follow him and he smiles giddily at the boxes, some very large and some smaller. He grins at me and runs, beginning to open one of the smaller boxes first. He pauses in his unwrapping, turning to me and making grabby hands and I laugh and sit next to him.

The little blonde frowns and crawls into my lap, pulling the box into his lap as I wrap my arms around him.

He returns to unwrapping the pretty paper recklessly, making me smile in amusement.

"So, some gifts are for little Luke and that one is for big Luke, okay? (Why does this sound bad) But you can wait until whenever you want to be big, you don't have to open them right away if you wanna stay little." I explain, and he nods.

"This one ittle Luke?" He asks, gesturing to the box he has almost unwrapped. I smile and tell him yes and he continues tearing away the paper, squealing when he finds a toy he'd begged for not too long ago, that I'd let him put into the cart even though it was a bit on the spendy side, but he had then thrown a tantrum over me not agreeing to get McDonald's on the way home, so I made him put it back as punishment.

"Thankyou, mommy." He giggles as he turns around and kisses me.

"Mhm, you're welcome baby boy. Now, that big one right there is for baby boy Luke as well." I point to a large gift that's laying horizontally and Luke squeals and pulls it over before plopping into my lap again and opening it up.

He bites his lip and smiles as he looks over the box with a picture of a sled on it, then opens the cardboard and manages to slide the sleek red snow sled out and onto the living room floor.

"We should go outside in the snow with it, mommy! Right now right now right now!" He yells as he stands and jumps about excitedly.

"Maybe in a bit, baby. For now, we need to eat breakfast."
