It's a filler but people were asking if I was finished writing this so I decided to post something. Btw wattpad won't let me comment rn, or at least not reply to others comments on my stories, so sorry if I don't answer you. None of my stories are finished unless otherwise specified, I'm just a sucky author and I never update shit.
"Moooommmmyyyy!" I cry as i wake up in my crib and mommy isn't coming to get me out.
"Want out! Mommy!" I sob. I hear some weird noise from somewhere else in the house, so obviously she's awake, she's just ignoring me.
Mommy is mean.
"MAMA! Mommy!" I shriek and still nothing. I huff and wipe my eyes, crawling out of my crib even though I'm not allowed to and grabbing my dummy and my stuffie and going to mommys room.
I soon realize why she wasn't coming when I hear the sound of her getting sick.
"Oh." I mutter, putting my stuffie and dummy on her bed and going into the bathroom. She's hunched over the toilet and I take over holding her hair back for her, grabbing a rubber band and wrapping her hair in it.
"Mommy Icky?" I ask gently when she's finished. She nods and wipes at her tearing eyes.
"Could-" her voice is scratchy "could you get mommy some water baby boy?"
"Es." I hurry into the kitchen and get a glass of water and carefully bring it to her. She washes out her mouth and drinks some, then brushes her teeth.
"I'm sorry I couldn't come get you baby, thankyou for helping mommy." I nod and look over her worriedly.
"Flu?"
"Probably." She stands on shaky feet and I take her hand and lead her to her bed, coming out of my headspace for the most part as I help her under the covers.
"I'll get you medicine. You want soup or something?"
"Not yet, thankyou babe." I smile and nod as I rush to get her medicine and water to wash it down with. She takes it and makes a face at the gross taste of the liquid and I giggle.
"Wanna watch tv or something?" I ask as I grab the remote, putting my hand to her forehead to check her temperature.
"Sure. I think I'm gonna try to go back to sleep." She sighs. I nod and turn on the tv.
"Cuddle?" I ask gently, crawling into the other side of the bed.
"Please." She mutters, holding her arms out. I smile brightly and cuddle up to her, kissing her cheek.
I wait until she falls asleep before letting myself drift off.
When I wake up, mommy is no longer in bed.
"Mama?" I ask gently, then hear her throwing up again.
I go into the bathroom and help with her hair, the get her water again.
"Wewe- uhhh- were out of medicine." I say, trying to force myself out of little space.
She lets out something between a groan and a hum.
"If you're okay here by yourself I'll go to the store and get more?" I move her hair out of her face as she sits on the bed.
"Are you big?"
I hum in confirmation.
"All the way?"
"Yeah."
"Are you sure baby? Don't want you slipping while I'm not with you."
"I'll be okay. You need medicine. The store isn't too far, I can walk." She sighs, seeming opposed to the idea.
"I don't think-"
"I'm going whether you like it or not." I chuckle, and she raises an eyebrow at me.
"Youll-" she cuts herself off with a cough-"You'll do as I say."
I shake my head. "What are you gonna do about it?" I tease. She whines and lays back in the bed.
"I'm just worried about you, baby."
"I know, but I'll be fine. You're worse off then me."
She sighs. "Id really rather you didn't."
"Too bad." I lean over her and kiss her cheek. "I'll be back soon. You need anything before I go? Or want me to get anything other than medicine?"
"Nooo, Luke just stay here." She groans.
"Okay then, I'll be back in like, 20 minutes."
"Luuukkkeee." She protests.
"Byeeeee, love you." I say from the living room before leaving.
I walk as quickly as I can to the store, fighting to stay out of headspace.
I've not been out for so long that it feels really weird, and it's hard not to slip. But I'll be fine for the twenty minutes it'll take to get the medicine and walk back home.
I search the counters for whatever looks the most helpful before finally deciding on a general flu medicine that says it covers lots of symptoms and helps sleep.
I pull out my wallet as I hurry o the counter, wanting to be quick so momm- Delilah doesn't worry.
"ID please?" The cranky looking lady behind the counter asks.
"Umm, Why?" I ask as I pull my driver permit out.
"You can't buy stuff like this until your 18 or older. Your mom or dad around?" She rolls her eyes.
"Uh, no, its for my girlfriend, she's really sick, can't you just-"
"No, move kid, you've got a line behind you."
"But-"
"I'm his mum." A woman that looks a little too young to be the mother of a 17 year old cuts in. She shows the lady her ID and the lady rolls her eyes and takes the money I hand her, giving my "mum" the bag with the medicine in it.
I walk outside with her. "Thanks so much."
"No problem, hope you girlfriend feels better!" She says as we part ways. I rush home and go to Delilahs room where I can hear her throwing up in the bathroom again.
"Lili?" I ask gently as I come in. She coughs and washes out her mouth.
"You took a long time." She sighs as I wrap my arms around her and she hugs me back.
"Sorry. The lady at the counter wasn't letting me buy it because I'm not eighteen and some other woman pretended to be my mum, so it took longer than expected."
She hums. "Thankyou, baby." I nod and pour some for her, and she quickly swallows it before we both go back to her bed and lay down to cuddle.
