Chapter 15

I sit up quickly, and make a break for it, arms pumping, legs scrambing. My shoes grip the tile floor, tears threatening to escape my eyes. I push my way out of tbe exit, sprinting down the hallway. For every clunk my feet make another footstep follows, warning me Uriah's following me. I quicken my pace, gasping for air, and turning corner after corner. Finally I feel a hand grasp my wrist, and I try to pull away, only to hurt myself. "Let go!" I scream, kicking his shin. I look Uriah in the eyes, my tears spilling from my eyes. "Please." I say. He lets me go, but I stand there. "Uriah I'm gonna die. And cut the shit, We both know what I am." He looks into my eyes. "I'll protect you okay? I promise." I hug him, and cry. He then sends me back to the waiting room. I see Dia's done, and ask her how it went. "It was totally nasty there were these giant dogs, and they were eating me. And then this acid rain, and this- ugh. There were so many and it was SO gross!!" I see a new tattoo on her ankle with a J and a D linked with a heart. My face must have puckered up or something because she says, "You look like you just ate a lemon. We're together, okay?" I roll my eyes because If I say anything else she'll go off about Uriah, and Tobias. I have to make a choiice too. i don't know really what to do. I REALLLLLLLLLLLY like them both. I put my head in my hands. Ugh. If it isn''t stressful enough Dia and Jake start to kiss. "Nasty, Huh?" Cam says, crinkling her nose. She crosses her arm, looking dauntless head to toe, with crimson lips, and a totally black outfit. "what's up? Ya look stressed." she says, nudging me with a bony elbow.' I sigh, and say, "boy problems." She raises an eyebrow, and says, "Ahhhh, trouble in paradise?" I nod, and frown. "Well if it has anything to do with the infamous Tobias +Uriah thing, I say team Tobias." Dia turns to me, and says, "Team Uriah!" and in this moment I finally know what I want. I mean when Cam said Team tobias my stomach churned. After all that recently happened... I can easily imagine myself with uriah. I excuse myself, and march off to find Tobias. I find him with a piece of cake. He smiles, and waves me over. "hey." I say, looking in his eyes. "Whats up?" he asks, finishing his cake. "well... Tobias I'm sorry but we can't continue our relationship." He looks at me, brows knit,, and I rush off, and break into the room that Uriah is doing testing in. "Uriah." I say, smiling at him. "You are my one and only." He hugs me, and we head off to eat, as his shift ends. In a flash we're cornered by Tobias, who is shaking. "LIAR! CHEATER!" I have a retort, as well. "Tobias! I can't keep pretending to be Tris okay?! this is my life!" apparently Tobias's rage takes over him because before I know It cake is shoved in Uriah's and my face. But he makes it fun, pretending he is a cake monster, and i follow in his footsteps, us scaring the little kids, and laughing till our sides hurt. And in that moment I know I love him. And I HAVE to stay in dauntless, so I don't lose it all.
