Uriah's POV

The Erudite leave as soon as a bullet slices through Sky's chest. She falls soundlessly to the ground, gasping for air, wheasing, her body convulsing. The blood has completely SOAKED her shirt, and her face is almost white, so different from her tan skin, that looks like she's been in the sun for days. her body shakes so much that she looks like she is vibrating. "Oh my god." I say, as I hold her in my arms, taking my shirt off, trying to soak up the blood, and stop it from bleeding. I know taking off her shirt would be the most sane thing to do, but I feel like it's violating her privacy. I know, some boyfriend I am... But I just feel its the right thing to do. I see her try to form words, but I shush her. "I love you." She says slowly, and touches me arm, in an agonizing motion. "i love you." I say, and her eyes take on a blank look. "Sky." I say, as her hand goes slack. "Sky." I repeat, tears soaking my face. "Sky. Sky! No! we're not playing games! Wake up! Please!" I shake her, but she's not responding as I check her pulse. "No!" I hear loud footsteps, and shield her body, only to see its Tobias and Zeke. "Zeke! help! we need to get her to the paramedics!" Tobias comes over, and screams, "how could you let this happen?! Oh my god! Oh my God! sky!" I let tears stream down my cheeks. "Uriah... Uriah listen to me. hand her over." Zeke says, and I hand over Sky to him. He slings her over his shoulder, and we sprint toward the hospital. zeke hands Sky over to our head doctor, Karla, a curly haired woman with a dark complexion, that was my friend when we were kids. She quickly takes her to a room with a hoarde on surgeons, and nurses. We sit in the waiting room. I wait. And wait. And wait. Zeke leaves. Then Tobias. But i stay. I always stay. They offer me food, but I always decline. I was there all night long. Not as long as I had thought, but then again every second seemed like a lifetime so maybe I was biased. Fonally Karla emerges, curly hair a mess, and eyes red. "Uriah?" She asks, and I raise my hand up, and she looks at with me with a sympathetic look in her eyes. "I'm so sorry... she died on the table... We couldn't do anything. I'm so incredibly sorry." i fall to the ground, feeling totally numb, a lump forming in my throat, the pristine white walls too sharp for my eyes, causing me to shut them. No. no. Finally I feel the emotion of it all. I just lost Sky Prior. The best fighter I had ever seen, the most beautiful girl, my love. No.

I will always remember the first time we kissed. It was like a million fireworks exploded, and all in my stomach. It was exciting, but very nervewracking too. And in that moment I knew it wasn't going to be another fling.

When Sky picked me over Tobias it made me want to forget all the nasty things he had done to me over the years, and roll them all up into one, and throw them away, because I finally knew I had one thing he didnt- Sky.

The days after the hospital went along in a whirl. before I knew it, everyone was coming to tell me everything was going to be okay, and that i'm young, and i'll bounce back quick. zeke came a lot bringing me food, as well as my Mom. They fed me, but usually I just felt so sick i puked the food back up. zeke just sighed whenever this happened. Apparently Tobias was is the same shape I was, because Zeke always went off to see him, and he never came to my room. After a day or so, I can't keep track of time, they made me go to her funeral. There was a pastor, and It was a very quiet sermon, besides the fact everyone was bawling. after the sermon, we were all allowed to go see the body.

Sky's POV

I slowly woke up from a deep slumber. Jeez how long had I been out/ but a pain in my chest reminded me. My eyes seemed to be glued shut, and I felt my surroundings, which was silk, flowers, and wood. What the hell? Then I heard a voice, annd a hand grasp my wrist. "Sky. Sky! wake up! Please!" Its Uriah, and he sounds frantic. What's wrong/ Is there a fire. Its agonizing, but I open my eyes, and say, "Uriah."
