Spring
As punishment for being late back home I was kept locked away in Lyra and I's room for a whole week making me feel restless. Especially since I forced myself to sleep on the floor just to spite Lyra.
Honestly. I can take care of myself.
I just hope that I'm able to meet that girl again.
"Where are you going?"
"To the waterfall."
"No."
"And why not?!"
"After what happened to you I simply don't trust you to go alone."
"For the thousandth time. It was an accident! How was I supposed to know that I would accidentally cut myself?"
"I'm sorry Spring but, this is an order. You are not to leave the village that's final."
I grit my teeth in anger as I watch Lyra return to training.
"She can't keep me here!"
"No she can't. But I can."
"Commander?"
"It's for your own safety Spring. I'm sorry."
I glare at the commander as she left before storming off to my hut which is when I realized something. Why am I even living with Lyra? Shouldn't I have my own hut?
I walk over towards Sophia who was the blacksmith of the village. To which I found funny since back where I'm from we don't have a blacksmith since we don't need one. I mean after all where living in the 21st century.
Sophia- "Spring. Is there anything I can help you with?"
"I want to make a hut." Surprise crossed her face as she nervously looked towards the training grounds.
Sophia- "Have you spoken to the commander or Lyra about this?"
"Nope. And I feel like I shouldn't have to I mean I need my own space to."
Sophia- "If you come back with permission from both Lyra and the commander I will provide you with everything you need to make a hut."
"But."
Sophia- "No buts. Now go."
I pout as I make my way towards the commanders tent only to see her studying some type of map.
"Is there something you need?"
"Yes. I need your permission to let me build a hut."
"Why? Aren't you sharing a room with Lyra?"
"That's just the point. I need my own space otherwise I fear that I may just rip her head off one day when she pisses me off." The commander laughed making me feel even more annoyed as she calmed down a bit.
"While that's a good excuse it's not my day on if you can have your own hut or not. If you get permission from Lyra then I will allow it. But you and I both know that Lyra's a bit attached to you."
"I'll get permission even if it kills me." She just stared at me amusedly as I stormed off towards the training grounds.
"Lyra. I need to speak to you."
"Can't it Wait? I'm in the middle of training."
"Training? You call just sitting there training?!" My anger faltered as Lyra glared at me. I watched nervously as she took a deep breath before facing her palm up while producing a small flame making my eyes widen in awe before it was gone.
She looked exhausted after that. But my question was is how did she do it?
"What do you wish to speak about?"
Shaking my head to clear it I take a deep breath before speaking sternly.
"I wish to build my own hut."
Silence.
My palms begin to grow sweaty as the other kids behind her slowly began to back up.
"Why?"
"I need space. You've been irritating me more times then I can count lately and I just need a break." I glanced at Lyra's clinched hands making me bite my bottom lip as I begin to wonder if asking her was such a good idea.
"Fine. But I'm not helping you. And as of today you are officially moved out of my hut."
Surprise crossed my face as I watch her grab a bow and arrow before storming off into the woods.
Unknown- "Wow. I never seen her look so angry before."
I really should get to know the other kids better but to be honest I'm a tad bit shy around them. I mean I have answered there questions it's just... I have a hard time making conversations with them. Talking to the adults and teenagers where easy since they started the conversations but still.
I just hope I didn't make to angry.
Lyra
My heart hurt. Mostly because Spring wanted to move out. I mean yeah I may have been a bit protective but before I met her and my mamma died I have felt like that apart of me went missing. I mean I still have my mother who is the commander but I just couldn't live with myself knowing that my mamma was dead. And until I met her I felt the need to protect her. And so that's what I've been doing. Of course I fell in love with her in the process but it happens right? I just can't believe she wants to move out.
I freeze as an arrow flys past my head making me immediately scan the forest which is when I spotted Maria perched comfortably in a tree with her wings spread wide.
Maria- "Bring me the girl and nobody will get hurt. After all she is mine."
"Like hell!" I drew my arrow and watched it fly towards her only to have Maria disappear in the process making my ears flatten as I begin to scan the forest.
Maria- "You Really think you can kill me?"
"Well if you would quit running away then..." I freeze as I feel a cold blade graze my neck making me glance behind me only to see Maria smirking victoriously.
Maria- "I could kill you and your smart mouth within seconds however I won't do that since your going to bring me the girl."
"I'd rather die!" Stomping on the demons foot she automatically lets me go making me rush back towards the village in panic.
Maria- "Mark my words Lyra. I will get what I want. I always do."
