Lyra
I felt bad for hitting Spring. I mean I want to protect her can't she understand that? But me trying to figure out how to earn her forgiveness is not the only problem I have. Something was wrong with Spring, and whatever that maybe I intend to find out. So head I am pacing back and fourth as I watched Spring stare blankly into the woods almost as if she's waiting for something to happen.
"Go talk to her."
"About what?"
"You really are dense aren't you? It's been well over three weeks since she's been here."
"And?"
"And if anything she's probably feeling depressed since her mother hasn't come to retrieve her yet."
Realization dawned on me. Granted I should be ecstatic that her mother hasn't come yet but seeing Spring so unlivley was unsettling to me.
"H-Hey Spring. Want to go for a walk?"
"I thought I wasn't allowed to leave the village."
"Well you seem down and plus I'll be there with you to protect you in case Maria shows up. So how about it?"
She smiled weakly as she nodded her head in confirmation making me a bit more relaxed. "Great! Just follow me!"
Ugh. I felt awkward. I mean she practically knows I like her now but after what happened two weeks ago she probably hates me.
"I'm sorry."
"For what?"
"For slapping you. I guess I just got a tad bit overprotective."
"I understand."
"You do?" I was surprised since she hasn't uttered a word to me since the incident.
"Yeah. Your mother told me about your mom and Maria's mom. And now for some reason Maria wants me and because of that I can't search for my own mom. I mean she has to be out there looking for me right?"
I could feel my ears droop a bit as I stopped walking.
"About that Spring. How would you feel about staying?" She stopped all of a sudden making my heart practically pound out of nerves.
"You and I both know I don't belong here Lyra."
"Call me selfish Spring but I don't want to loose you. I love you." There I said it. It's as if a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders as Spring turned towards me with a look of confusion.
"What is love?"
"You know. It's when your heart pounds uncontrollably when the person you like is near. It's when you constantly wonder what the person you like is doing wondering if there safe or feeling alone."
She seemed to contemplate on what to say next making me smile a bit as I brushed a strand of hair from her face making her blush.
"Well your still young you can give me a response when your older."
"I'm only two years younger then you."
"Yes but I'm more mature."
"Oh please."
My eyes widened out of fear and worry as a rock came flying right at Spring making me shove her out of the way as I took the blow to the head instead of her making me suddenly loose conscious.
Spring
I miss my mom. Was she looking for me and if so when was she coming? Lyra confessed to me to which I couldn't give her an answer in return. I mean I feel things for her but I haven't decided if they where positive or negative yet. I mean we fight constantly. Yes I know she's only trying to protect me but I just don't know. I'm so confused.
"Yes but I'm more mature then you."
I scoff as I turn around to face her once again. "Oh please.."
My words where cut off as Lyra pushed me onto the ground making me utterly confused until I saw a large rock hit the side of her head making my eyes widen as I tried shaking her awake.
"Lyra?!" I heard a twig snap making me immediately turn around only to see a girl with blonde hair pale skin and light blue eyes.
"Who are you and what are you doing?!"
Unknown- "I'm sorry."
Confusion was all I could feel until I felt a sharp pain hit the back of my head making me loose conscious as well.
Even though I have been caught as well I just hope Lyra is ok.
