He Was the Royale Scientist, and while working on a determination experiment, which was bringing fallen monsters back, in which Alphys later resumed. He gave up, and wanted to spend more time with his family, Sans and Papyrus, who he considered sons, and treated them well. Right before he retired as Royal Scientist, he made one final attempt to get a side project to work. It ended in tragedy, and his soul was scattered across the alternate timelines. His side project had taken place in true lab, which caught fire from the side project over heating, and his two sons injured one eye, not allowing magic to flow freely out both, the oldest was left with three hp. His determination project was later resumed by the new royale Scientist, Alphys.
