Does she loves her secretary that much? She's willing to get off in the middle of the highway to go back and look for her? I looked into the side mirrors and her figure was getting smaller and smaller as we drove off.
"I don't think we should be together." Iris mumbled to my surprise. "This is too dangerous. I love my money too much to just die in vain one day because I'm with the Viper's leader, you, Kai Cain. I'm going to tell my Dad that I like someone else and not speak of this. I will say that I left with you before this happened. This shouldn't affect your business deal."
It's always like this. People get too scared to be with me, but I'm the heartless one? Even if I stop being in Viper, people are still going to come after me.
"Thank you," I remarked. "You'll be home shortly."
I dropped Iris off and we played it like nothing happened.
"You guys can spread out now," I said to my guards who were crammed into the seats. Joe rested his hand on the area where Safia sat to help himself lift his body over but his hand slipped. He landed on the seat in disbelief. He took a tissue from the compartment and wiped over the area where his hand slipped. It was stained with red.
We were all confused about what it could've been. I recalled when she moved me away from a Dragon gang member who was attempting to shoot me and there was a gun shot noise. They're trained too well to miss at such a distance.
Then the connection occurred to me, she was shot! She took a bullet for me. She risked her own life for someone she just met. I must repay her. Someone like me, ruler of the Viper Mafia, will never let a person, let alone a woman, to take a bullet for me for free.
"Sebastian, turn the car around. We are going to Khan Hospital!" I demanded.
"How do you know she's there?" Asked Joe.
"I just do."

My eyes slowly opened. I could hear some murmurs and hands touching my back. The light was sleeping through my eyes and it burned a little. I regained consciousness. My vision cleared and it was Deun sitting in front of me."Where am I?" I whispered.
"Khan Hospital." She answered. "Do you feel any pain?"
"Not really. I'm just really tired" I squinted. "Why?"
"Well it looks like you got shot, Doc." Deun vocalized.
"Shot. Are you fucking kidding me. Who's behind me doing stitches? Who knows? Make sure no one else knows." I contested.
"Don't worry. I made sure it was Dr. Edwards." Deun responded.
"Good morning, Dr. Ranee. It's currently 11 pm actually. Rare sight to see you here on my hospital bed. You'd be the last one I've ever thought about operating on. How did this happen."
"Yeah. I saw you in the venue and I was calling your name but then I saw you go out the other door so I came after you. Then you disappeared!"
"Someone was going to get shot and I moved him out the way only to take the bullet. It's whatever. I'm still alive and all I needed was a couple stitches." I explained.
"Well you should also think about getting a couple days, not hours of rest. Your health report is trash. You're low on everything from nutrition to energy." Dr. Edwards stated.
"Are you done?" Completely ignoring her request.
"Just about. I'm going to have you stand up so I can clean the rest of the area before I put a bandage on."
