I finally regained consciousness the next day. I opened my eyes and there was literally 6 body guards staring at me. Deun sat uncomfortably on my left side. "Who are these people?" I hissed.
Deun faked cough. "That one guy in the suit." She whispered.
I clicked my tongue and my eyes wandered down the line of guards. "Get Dr. Edwards now." I demanded.
Dr. Edwards entered the room and I hastily said, "Discharge me." She stared at me in shock and confusion. "I can't. You need to rest. I'm doing this for your sake."
"If you discharge me, I'll take a whole week off work." I countered. Dr. Edwards was silent and quite reluctant to agree, though she did. One of the guards quickly stepped out and I knew that I needed to be out of the hospital within 10 minutes. Deun helped me pack my belongings and we headed towards the elevator.
"Ma'am, you don't want to do this." One of the guards remarked. "Young Boss will find you no matter what."
"Get out of my face," I commanded. He moved slowly to the side, so slow, that I went out of my way to push him. He was purposely stalling me.
We got down to the elevator and into the car. Just as we drove out, I saw Kai walking towards the elevator.
I exhaled in relief.

I got to the hospital as fast as I could. As the elevator went up to the floor, I dashed out and strutted into her room.I settled a gaze across the whole room and it was neat and cleaned. "Where is she!" I yelled.
"Young Boss, she wouldn't stop. I tried to stall time by convincing her to stay but she just shoved me aside. I didn't do anything because we couldn't lay a hand on her." A guard explained.
"So she's testing me?" I asked in anger.
This woman is something else. Many women out there would want this kind of attention and security from a man, especially someone like me.
"Find out where she is now!" I shouted. I kicked the bed in anger. I left the hospital and went back to my car. I took a couple deep breaths in to calm myself down. "Joe, I want everything. I want to know everything about her. Don't even miss a single detail."
"Yes sir." Joe replied.

I woke up from the sound of my doorbell ringing. By the time I reached the end of the stairs, it's been rung 4 times. My parents know the code to my house and they're really the only people who drop by so I was confused on who it could be. Just as I was going to look at my security monitor, the noise of a code was being entered into my door.My door dinged and unlocked. It was Kai and his guards! I walked swiftly to my door and they all walked in passing by me.
I stared at them in shock because they knew the code to my house. "STOP." I commanded. They all held their stance. "Can you at least take off your shoes and put some slippers on. It's kind of rude considering that you're uninvited guests." I voiced.
Kai turned around took a couple steps towards me. He bent down and untied his shoes. He removed them and held them in his hands. "Where are these slippers that you speak of?" He said blankly staring at me in the eyes.
I shoulder shoved him and opened the cabinet by the door behind him that consists of many new slippers. I tossed one at him and at all the other guards. They quickly followed Kai's actions.
They followed me through my corridor and into my living room. I didn't have enough time to change my clothes and I also didn't know he was coming so I was in my pajamas. It was a really awkward atmosphere.
"How did you know the code to my house?" I questioned.
"Nothings is a secret in this world." He responded.
"Hmph." I sighed. "Why are you here?"
"That gun shot wound." He turned and stared at me. "Was because of me. I am here to take responsibility."
"How?" I countered. "I don't need you to. I meant it when I said that I wanted nothing to do with you."
"I had a feeling you would say that." He scoffed. "Sign this contract." He said as he tossed a file to me. "It's basically saying that I'm not liable for this injury and you can't come back to sue me for it."
I blurted out a laughter. They all stared at me in confusion. "What makes you think that I'll come for you. I don't need to sign this and I don't want to sign it. Don't worry. I won't even think about you." I confirmed.
"Then sign it."
"No. I don't want to."
"Why not. It's saying what you said you won't do. I like to have a stable confirmation."
"Fine. I'm going to read it first." I remarked.
"Why do you have to read it. I just summarized it for you." He responded without ease.
I read the contract and he did summarize it quite well, though he left out an important detail,
"Clause 3," I read out loud, "the injured must report to the liable every 3 days about the updates of the injuries." I looked up at him. "I'm not doing that. I already told you that I don't want to do anything with you. This is basically holding me hostage.""I just want to know what going on and when it's fully healed so I don't have to think about it." Kai explained.
"Don't worry about it. I'm not signed the contract like this. Delete clause 3 and we will have a deal."
I tossed the file back at him and he didn't attempt to dodge it or catch it. He got up and came extremely close to me. He bent down and leveled his face to mine. He pushed his head forward and I jerked my head all the way back. He was so close, I could feel his breath.
"I'll see you soon." He promised.
He took the file and he and his guards left. Just like that.
