Let me get the story straight. So, this captain Moose-tashe... pfft. Ha. Ha. Ha. Sorry. Sorry. I just can't deal with the name in a serious tone yet... Okay. Okay. So, this captain from the opposing boat and captain Morrison are mortal enemies or so I was told by the lanky lookout. Their history trails back to the starts of piracy where they both served as cleaners for a rather important pirate back in the day. Due to their differences, they took different paths, but they seem to collide as if it was fated because they always target the same booty. This time around, is something hidden inside Paradise Island.
"Ack?!" The boat shook as I was dillydallying with the information that I just received. I should anchor myself down and face the reality of the situation.
I looked back towards where I had last seen the boat, just to realize that it was closer than I thought. The shaking was not due to the rough seas, but because we were getting shot at. Is this one of those life or death situations. Why do they chase me? First on the temple with those God-forlorn statues and now this...! Great! My life's a total mess.
"Fire to starboard!" I yelled just before the thunderous roar of the canons truck the side of our vessel. The quaking of the mast increased and I nearly lost my grip! Dammit! I used the rope to slide down towards the deck. If that French sailor wanted to have a go, he was going to have a go.
"Run a shot across the bow! Fire in the hole!" Captain Morrison ordered with deftness and precision. He was a more capable captain than what I thought. It seems that you should never judge a book for it cover.
"Aye! Aye, Cap'n!" I saluted as all the sailors did. If I want to survive, I got to follow orders.
"Avast ye, mateys!" Simon gathered our attention with words that echoed throughout the whole ship. "Bring a Spring Upon 'er! Prepare them ropes! We're boarding their boat! And blow that man down! Dead men tell no tales." The orders were pretty precise.
Let me summarize what captain Morrison wanted us to do. I know that pirate lingo can get pretty complicated. Basically, we had to turn the ship, rope the boats together, kill their captain and leave no survivors. Easy, right? Like hell that's easy! I miss Christen! I would rather be eaten by another snake than have to fight for my life. Well thank you... Hey! No! I don't want this rapier! Can I return it? I even have the receipt! Damn it.
"Aye, captain!" I saluted once again. I rushed towards the storage room to prepare along with the other buccaneers. I have my pistol ready. I'm now carrying a sword and I went to the bathroom before the fight. I think we're all good.
As I was rushing up the stairs, I felt the deck quaking again! Did we just crash?! No. They collided with us! Boats are side by side now and sailors from both sides are starting to rope them together. Who knew that there was a roping etiquette! They are working together like old friends before killing each other! I guess that the one with the sharpest sword wins, thus killing b-... I'm getting derailed. Here goes nothing! It's time not to die!"
"Ah!" And thus I charged towards the boat, following our mighty, handsome captain...
