Did she ask me to do something? What was it? Damn it! I was too focused on my own self-loathing and insight that I failed to perceive that I was being addressed. How many more times should I make a fool of myself before I am satisfied.

"Bahahaha!" The girl to my left side... I just realized I don't know her name yet. Well, she was laughing in a soft whisper at my own blunder.

"Oh. Shush it, you." I whispered to her back. My body shriveled as I noticed that I was being glared by the teacher. My face turned forward and my expression revealed a complicated smirk that spoke by itself. "I don't know... I wasn't paying attention. And thus, everyone started to laugh. Great.

"Psst. It's Miriam. Don't forget it." The female with the honey-colored haired whispered to me. "You have to read paragraph seven of page forty-five." She gave me a lifeline! Thank you! You saved me from the wrath of that green-haired monster in disguise.

I grabbed my book as swiftly as I could and flipped the pages to the right one. My eyes were fixed on the content of the paragraph. I cleared my throat and looked forward with a confident smile. I got this. With the best intonation I could muster, I began to read out loud. I hope that nothing spawns from within the book.

" In the beginning there was nothing. Illusions, dreams and wishes were concepts that swirled around a timeless space as a memento that nothingness is the forefather of our existence. As time passed, they began to take form and the white canvas that covered the universe was splashed with color for the first time. The first dream to come true was that one of life. And therefore, we call the creator of that miracle the Light bearer."

I tried reading with a steady punctuation and a non-faltering voice. I felt proud of my diction and accent. At least, I sounded like a standard American this time. I was not a southern girl nor a fake English-accented person. There is just one issue that is disturbing my mind. Why is the teacher frowning as she glares at me and why is Miriam giggling ever so quietly?

"Thank you, Mr. Miles." The bespectacled, green-haired beauty sounded ever so monotone. "But that was already read by your classmate, Dandy." She added with a hoarse voice. "You need to pay more attention. Stop talking and focus." Her scolding reached to the inner core of my body. God. That was awful.

"Bahahaha!" The little girl beside me began to giggle louder. So it was you! You made me look like a fool! I will get back to you someday! "Sorry, I couldn't help it!" She said as she wiped a tear from the corner of her eye.

"Yeah. Yeah." I replied. I am going to remember this. You played me like a fiddle. It's my turn for revenge.
