New Beginnings

The next morning I woke up in an unfamiliar room. There, I saw Grayson changing his shirt for school. I laid in the bed and stretched out. He turned around butting up his shirt, "I didn't know you were awake yet, Blondie." I smiled at him, "I'm just enjoying what I'm seeing." I smirked. He crawled over front of the bed so that his face was above mine. He did what seemed like a push-up down to kiss me.

I jumped out of bed. "Here," he said handing me some clothes. "Your sister came by this morning dropping this off." After getting ready, Grayson drove me to school.

When we walked in the doors our fingers interlocked and we looked at each other with loving eyes. As we walked down a hallway I noticed a new girl struggling to open her locker. "I'll see you in a little," I said to Grayson. He nodded and kept walking leaving me next to the new girl. "Do you need help?" I asked her. "Umm yeah that would be nice," she said bringing her head up from her locker. "What's the combo?" I asked the girl. "08 37 15," she told me. I put in the code she told me and sure enough the locker opened. I turned back and shook her hand. "I'm Rosie," I said shaking her hand. "I'm Indiana," she said smiling. " what's your first class I asked curiously. "AP Bio." She said. "Same!" We compared our schedules only to find we had every class together.

Once the bell rang we walked to class together. We talked about where she came from and why she moved here. "You wanna go to the mall after school?" She asked me. "I would love to, but I promised my boyfriend a study date." "Oh it's fine then! Who's your boyfriend?" She asked teasing me. I laughed at her and started blushing, "Grayson." I blushing harder because he's the hottest guy in the school and I get to call him mine. "I'll point him out in Science later," I told her. We both smiled and turned so we were facing the teacher.

After class I met up with Grayson. The first thing he said to me was, "love you, Blondie!" And then he kissed me. My heart fluttered each time he kissed me. I started blushing again. "I Love you too, Hercules."

Finally, it was science class. Just like always Grayson and I sat next to each other except this time Indiana sat across from us. I introduced the two of them. I leaned my head on Grayson's shoulder and he kissed my forehead. *Were we showing off?* I thought. I didn't say anything. The teacher went on and on about all the science stuff I didn't care about... for once. I watched as Indiana stared into Grayson's eyes. I scowled at her, but when she looked over I immediately smiled acting like nothing was wrong. *Was the new girl hitting on my boyfriend?* I wondered. The second class was over I pulled Grayson aside. "Did you see that girl!?" I said in an annoyed voice. "No?" He said questioning my anger. "How?! She was flirting with you?" "We weren't talking, Rosie!" "With her eyes, Grayson." I stared into his eyes realizing how dumb that argument was. I was becoming a controlling girlfriend. Controlling?
Protective? Maybe. He took my hands. "I didn't notice. I'm sorry, Blondie." I kissed him. "It's ok," I said putting my head down. He lifted my head with his fingers. He leaned in closer to me placing his forehead against mine. "I'm going to go talk to her," I told Grayson and left.

"Hey, Indiana!" I said walking up to her. "I'm so sorry! You looked so upset with me earlier! I wasn't intentionally trying to flirt with your boyfriend he just really reminds me of an ex." A single tear rolled down her face, "That was the best relationship I've ever been in." Now I really felt bad. I got so mad at someone who didn't actually do anything. "You know what? Let's go to the mall later, I'll reschedule with Grayson." I said. "Really?!" She asked excitedly.

At the mall we went in and out of stores trying things on and talking. "So how long have you and Grayson been together?" She asked me. "Not that long, only a few months," I said. We stopped to get Starbucks. When we walked out Indiana probably jumped three feet in the air before falling. She looked up from the floor to see a super hot and familiar looking guy. I almost squealed. "I am sooo sorry," the boy said helping her up from the floor. "It's ok," Indiana answered blushing. "Are you sure you're ok?" He asked again. "I'm positive." He smiled. He looked up from Indiana to where his eyes met mine. "Rosie?" He said. "Ben?" I asked in return. We oddly hugged. Indiana frowned slightly. I froze for a minute in his arms. I got butterflies in my stomach. It was the same feeling I get when I'm with Grayson. Since we were about the same height all he had to do was lean slightly forward until our lips met. He kissed me. "I'm so sorry," he said opening his eyes to see my bright pink face. I smiled real hard. When I looked back into his eyes I said words I didn't expect to say. "Will you go out with me, Ben?" I heard Indiana's gasp. He nodded and hugged me.

A few minutes after Indiana and I escaped. "Why'd you do that, Rosie?" She asked me concerned. "I don't know it just felt right," I shrugged. "You have a boyfriend!" "I know, Indiana. I smirked at her. "But he helped me through a rough time. I think it's time to give him another chance." "What are you going to do about Grayson?" She asked. "I need to get my feelings figured out first." "So you're going to go on a date with another guy when you're still dating Grayson?" She asked. "That's what I said." I smiled and kept walking down the hallway of the mall.
