I Promise You Forever

We woke up our moms by calling them repeatedly. Grayson put the hospital bag in the car and helped me get in.

When we arrived at the hospital I was rushed into the room where I would have the babies. Hours passed and slowly our families started showing up. I tried meeting Grayson's family, but it was hard to focus on anything but the pain I was in. More time passed. I had been in labor for 14 hours before they finally decided it was time. The whole crew came in to help me deliver my children. "Here's the girl!" One nurse said as I heard the sound of a baby crying. They brought her over to me so I could see her. I cried looking at her. She looked just like Grayson. I heard Grayson sniffle. I looked up at him and how happy he looked. He leaned down and wrapping his arm around me and he put one hand on baby Oakley. Seconds later they took the baby from me to clean her off. About 8 minutes later baby Oliver was born. I got to see his gorgeous face the second after he was born. This time he looked more like me. "Hey, Handsome," I said to him. They took him and handed me Oakley. She was swaddled up in a soft cloth. Grayson put his hand around me. I put my hand on Oakley's. The tiny fingers moved in mine. Oliver was brought over and handed to Grayson. He removed his arm from behind me, so he could hold his son.

Hours past and all we had done was cuddle together and with the twins. "You're going to be an amazing father," I told Grayson as we changed Oliver's diper. He looked up from what we were doing. "You're going to be the best mother in the world," he said to me. We washed our hands and hugged. The nurse came in and took the babies. One of the others came in and told us we could leave tomorrow. This is where things got complicated. "Where will they live?" I asked Grayson. My mom jumped in, "You guys are going to have to put your money together and pay for an apartment." I looked at my mom concerned. "I'm just kidding. Until you earn enough money yourselves.. we will be paying your rent." "Thank you mom!" I said jumping into her arms.

The next morning we woke up early so we could get going quickly. Grayson strapped both Oliver and Oakley into their car seats. I was wheeled out in a wheelchair and Grayson carried the two babies.

I sat in the backseat while Grayson drove. I made him pull over to grab food. He got out and left me with the babies. all of a sudden my phone started buzzing.
Ben- I heard you had the babies.
I rolled my eyes when I saw who texted me.
Me- Yes
Ben- how are you feeling?
Me- fine
He just stopped the conversation there. I told him I was done making my decision. I made a choice. And that choice was the best choice I'd ever made.

Later that afternoon Grayson and I sat on the couch holding the babies looking at ideas for our new home. Grayson planned to get a job but he didn't know which one. I believed we would grow old together and we would share a big happy family. I invited Indiana over to see the babies and she was more than happy to come over. Oliver and Oakley lover her! She played around with them for a while until she had to leave. I wasn't going back to high school. Grayson and I were going to do online school. I might never see Indiana again. "Bye, Rosie!" She said as she was leaving. "Bye, Indie," I said handing Oakley to Grayson so I could get up and hug her goodbye. "Thanks for being the most amazing friend ever! I never expected to have a best friend let alone a boyfriend and kids! Thanks to you, this was all able to happen." I told her over my tears. She was crying too. "I never thought I would make a friend the first day I went to a new school, but you were kind enough to help me. Love you, best friend!" We sniffled at the same time. "Love you too, bestie." She and I hugged one more time before she walked out the door. I smiled as I watched her get into her car. I waved as she pulled out of the driveway. I skipped back over to the couch and sat next to Grayson and the babies. He kissed me. "I love you, Blondie!" I smiled and wiped the tears from my face. "I love you too, Hercules."
