"Where you headed?" Chan grinned at a sceptical Felix as he rubbed his hands together due to the chills.

"To a friend's place," Felix answered, thankful he didn't stutter, "to spend the holidays."

Chan nodded and hummed in return as he played with the pendant of his necklace. It took a few seconds before Felix reciprocated the question.

"How about you?" Felix finally asked, tucking his hands into his underarms, seeking for warmth.

"Anywhere," was Chan's response.

Felix raised a quizzical eyebrow, "What do you mean by 'Anywhere'?"

Chan shrugged and looked at Felix, "There's no place I can go to," Chan answered, Felix might have just met the other male but he can tell that Chan just lost the bit of brightness in his tone.

Chan sighed and continued anyway, "My Dad left and Mum died when I was at fourteen."

"I'm sorry," Felix almost whispered but Chan still heard it.

Chan shook his head, "It's alright," Chan chuckled, "it isn't your fault anyway."

"I'm adopted," Felix confessed and Chan was taken aback, his eyes grew wide, "but my foster parents didn't really care, they're the sponsors of the orphanage so they wanted to adopt me for a bigger price for the orphanage."

Chan stared at the younger and laughed a bit, making Felix look up at him curiously, "Looks like we're even, then."

They both laughed for a bit and the
bus was wrapped in silence, cozy silence.

When Felix was drifting off in his sleepiness, he accidentally turned his head to the direction of where he got chilly, Chan's seat.

He found Chan looking out the window that he probably opened and was gazing out since earlier.

Felix somehow stood beside Chan and also looked out of the window too and saw not only a snow covered neighborhood but children playing in the snow while their parents were watching them or couples huddled up as they walked to wherever they were headed to.

"Beautiful." Felix uttered and as Chan turned to look at the younger, he saw a sparkle in his eyes, and he just noticed the freckles that the younger had across his face.

Yeah, it is beautiful.

Minutes later, the bus had stopped and parked which made the two males worried and curious at the same time.

The driver turned the engine off and stood up from his seat, approaching the two males at the far way back, "We'll have to stop for a while, lads," the middle-aged man said, "the road is covered in blankets of snow, it'll be dangerous if we continue."

The two nodded, understanding the situation, the driver returned to his seat and just waited for whoever knows what.

Felix tapped his foot on the metallic floor as he checked the time in his wristwatch, he'll be late if he will keep on waiting.

Felix stood up and took his bag, "Mister, I'll be going off from here," he started to walk to the exit where Chan also stood.

"What are you doing?" Chan asked, even though he knew that it was obvious.

"I'm heading out now," Felix turned to face Chan with a smile, "it was nice meeting you."

Chan went after Felix, "It's freezing cold out there," Chan warned, hands in his hoodie's pockets, "you need someone with you."
