Bus Ride on Winter

Knitted Scarf

Chan and Felix had decided to stay together since the bus will be possibly taking too long to take off any sooner.

The breeze was chilly that it made Felix shiver despite the numbers of layers of clothes he wore, and his cheeks were turning red, cold smoke escaping from his mouth as he sighed.

"Wanna warm up?" Chan asked moments as he spotted a motel not too far away, "I can pay for the room, y'know."

Felix nodded as he rubbed his bare hands together in search for warmth, shivering as a snowflake landed on his nose.

Chan chuckled and blew the snowflake off of there, "Here," Chan took his blue scarf that was designed with cream white patterns and wrapped it around Felix's pale hands, "keep yourself warm, there's the motel ahead, just a little further."

Felix looked up at the older, and thought that how come he knew such places? He didn't know that he was staring too much at the older that Chan had found him in the act.

"What?"

Felix's face flushed as he avoided eye contact with Chan, "How come you know such places?"

"I go anywhere anytime I want," Chan smiled down at the younger male and looked ahead as they went closer to the motel.

The two males were quietly walking nearer to the motel when Felix stepped on a slippery side of the sidewalk and slipped.

Surprisingly unexpected, Chan grabbed Felix with one arm with a little too much force that they went to the other direction and he fell with the younger on piles of snow.

The two males burst in laughter, making other people that saw what happened also chuckle and laugh at the matter.

The two males stood up and dusted away the snow that got onto their jeans and decided to walk in the snow instead, "So how old are you, Felix?" Chan asked as they finally reached the door of the motel.

"I'm twenty-one years old," Felix answered, and it surprised Chan thinking that he was a teenager.

"I'm twenty-four," Chan dusted the bits of snowflakes off of Felix's hair, "Why don't you wait there for a moment," Chan nodded to the waiting lounge, "while I go and check us into a hotel room?"

Felix nodded and headed to the waiting lounge, he sat down on one of the comfy chairs and found an elderly woman that was grinning at him nicely and he bowed in return.

"You must have a wonderful partner, son," the woman said and heat rushed to Felix's face.

"H-He's just an acquaintance," Felix sheepishly laughed.

"He seems to really take care of you," she smiled back, "you two enjoy your holidays."

Felix grinned, showing his teeth, and nodded happily, "We will, ma'am. You, too, happy holidays!"

Chan walked up to Felix with a little worried expression drawn across his face, he scratched the back of his head, "There's one room left, Felix," Chan raised the key that was in his left hand, "and it has a single bed."

Felix went a bit disappointed but lighted up anyway surprisingly. He scratched his right cheek, "We can at least take turns using the bed tonight."

Felix and Chan had entered their room and it was enough, a twin sized bed, a couch at the side and a television, "I can take the couch," Chan said.

But when Chan fixated his eyes at where Felix was, he wasn't there, instead, the younger was peering out of the window in glee, "It looks like there's a winter festival out there!"

Felix looked at Chan with his brightest smile and the older's heart somehow melted at how adorable someone like Felix is, "We can visit there, you know?"

"Really?" Felix jumped up and down as if he was just fifteen years old. Chan nodded as he chuckled at Felix's actions, and it somehow made Felix stop and blush as he straightened himself.

"Thanks for lending the scarf, Chan-hyung." Felix shyly said as he finally took it off and lent it.

Chan smiled warmly at Felix and pushed it back to him, "Keep it."
