Chrissie and Nico were seated together in the same airplane compartment. Chrissie looked at him tentatively and then jumped, because the plane's engine roared to life. "Calm down, I won't bite." He rolled his eyes at her. She laughed nervously. Nico's eyes found hers. He looked away, focusing on Hazel, who was across from him.

Hazel smiled at him. His lips twitched up, and she laughed. "Don't you ever smile?" Hazel giggled. "No, preferably not." Nico replied, shrugging his shoulders. The announcements came on over the loudspeakers, explaining the emergency procedures, and telling everyone to turn off all electronics. Chrissie grinned at him from the window seat next to him. He looked away, at the seat in front of him. She frowned, then shrugged, and looked out the window.

'Damn, why is it so hard to look at her?' He asked himself, glancing at Chrissie, who was currently mentally slapping herself because her dog charm was tangled in her hair. 'Oh yeah,' he told his mind silently, 'because she's so crazy you don't want to be seen looking at her.' He convinced his conscience that this was the reason, and closed his eyes.

A few hours later, Nico's eyes snapped open. There was something warm rested on his shoulder. Something warm and breathing. He would've jumped, besides the fact that the jump would've woken her up. Yup, Chrissie's head was rested on his shoulder. He squirmed, not wanting to wake her, wanting her off his shoulder, yet part of him hoping she would stay, all at the same time.

What was wrong with him?! Chrissie shifted and blinked open her eyes. "Hhm?" She yawned and realized she was on Nico's shoulder. She jerked up. "Sorry Nico." She looked nervous, as if he was a lion, about to attack. "It's fine, you don't have to act like I'm about to attack you all the time." He evaded her stormy gaze yet again. She sighed, realizing he kept looking away from her again.

"Why do you keep doing that?" Chrissie questioned. "What?" Nico retorted, almost a little too quickly. "You never look me in the eyes! You just don't act like you like me!" She sounded so sad, Nico almost started to comfort her, but he was interrupted before starting this rare thing by the plane announcer. "We will be landing in about 15 minutes," Came the voice. "Please shut off all of your electronics, and be prepared for a little bit of turbulence." The voice crackled off.

~Le 30 Min time skip~

Nico quickly strode out of the baggage claim area, trying to evade Chrissie and her questions. After his failed response, she seemed a little sad, but the light in her eyes returned as she was joking with Percy. Nico's stomach squirmed when she talked to him. Why was she afraid of him and not Percy? Nico shoved all of these annoying thoughts aside. Life was confusing, especially for him. He was going to regret sharing a room with Chrissie, not to mention with Percy too! No one knew about his little secret, especially not Percy! This would be a very tough trip for him.

I hope you enjoyed!
