About an hour later, we arrive at our first destination. "Seal Beach Pier? You're not planning on killing me and throwing my body in the water are you," he laughs. I roll my eyes, smiling.
"Do I seem like the kind of person who would do that," I ask, as we get out of the car. He thinks for a moment, as we start walking.
"Yeah, kind of."
"Hey," i say, punching him in the arm.
"I was joking! Of course you don't," he says, running his arm.
"That's right. I win. Just remember , Chance, I always win." We both start laughing, and we walk to the pier and sit down, letting our feet hang off of it.
"Are you gonna tell me what we are doing here," he asks.
"Well, do you remember the day we met?"
"Of course. Your family had brought you here for the first time, since you have never been to California before. You were sitting a couple feet away from Cody and I, building sand castles. Your brothers invited me to play football, since they were my mentors from football camp, but when Cody ran up to your sandcastle and destroyed it, I decided to help you rebuild it instead. That's when we became best friends and we've been inseparable since." I laugh. Okay, so maybe he does remember.
"I didn't think you'd remember, actually," I say laughing, "But yeah that's right. Do you remember what happened that night, when we were watching the sunset here with our families?" He thinks for a moment, before his face lights up.
