Your POV:

I woke up normally, a while after 6:15. I get up, stretch a bit, eat my breakfast and get myself some tea. When I finished, it was already time to go.

When I arrived, someone was already waiting for me.

"Hey Rookie, over there!"

*internal sight*
What was I expecting?

"Hey Lee, what's up" I replied with smile.

He smiled as well.

"I hope nothing in particular, if so, we'll have much more work."

"Wrong greeting, noted."

"Good." Lee chuckled at me, good sign.
"Too bad you are late Rookie"

"What?!" Crap, maybe this isn't good at all.

"Don't worry 'bout it, I've already talk to Chief and have our orders for today." Phew, that was close one.

"K. What is it?"

"Today we have car patrol. I'm driving. We start as soon as you're ready."

"We can start then, I am ready. Next time is my turn though."

He turned at me amused.

"I doubt you even know how these kind of things work Rookie."

Oh, how wrong you are my friend.

"You didn't read my file, did you. If you did you've known I've worked in Future Industries few years back, I know exactly how it works."

Seeing his face was truly worth it, he seemed genuinely surprised, guess he didn't know. Before he manage to say something, I continued.

"But if you insist, I'll take shotgun then. Maybe we could swap next time. Yeah, and one last thing, I have name you Airhead."

With my word he finally snap back to reality and open doors on his side of satomobile.

"For you, Rookie, it's always Sir." He answered with smirk.

"As you wish, Sir Airhead." I replied with similiar one, as I closed my door.

Satomobil itself was clean and unpersonal, just the way you should feel in police car.

It seemed like one of new ones, but I am not entirely sure, it's almost two years since I left Future Industries.

Lee then start an engine and caught my attention once again.

"If you have any questions, you're free to talk. I remember when I was on you place and wanted to know everything."

As we were leaving HQ, I looked out of window and think for a bit.

After a while I looked directly in front of me and was immediately blinded by rising sun.

Lee caught my expresion and laught.

"What's that Rookie, blinded by the bright light of my perfection?"

I couldn't help but smile.

"And there I thought you quit being an asshole you were yesterday." I told him.

"I know what are you talking about. I' m not always like this, but I was tired and annoyed." He said with small frown.

"About what, working with nonbender?"

"Honestly, yes-" Great, just great.

"-but you seem like a good guy so far. Nice uniform by the way."
