{Rebecka}
I wake up in a place I thought I would never be. I pondered several times on if I should stay back in my hometown after we found out-the pain shot through me. Just honking about him broke me down. I feel like it was my fault. Like I had something to do with the reason he died.
It's been two months sense the accident. I got out of bed slipping on some everyday clothing. I walked down stairs into the kitchen. I found it a little...strange thought. I have still always had the slightest feeling he was still alive because they never found his body. I started to feel weak and sick.
"Good morning!", my cousin Aria shouted. She was about 5'2 with carmel colored hair and brown eyes.
"Hey.", I said putting on a fake smile. She knew what happened but I tried to get her to believe I was ok even though I knew I wasn't. I feel bad for fighting with Jason over something stupid and then he- I felt tears prick my eyes and I looked away from her quickly and grabbed some food.
"So...", she asked.
I was about to answer her when someone knocked on the door.
She looked at me with a confused face. "Were you expecting anyone."
"Nope.", I answered popping the p and shoving some food in my mouth.
She walked out of the kitchen and into the hall. I could hear faint mumbling and then stomping. They were knocking the snow off of their boots.
"Who is it!", I shouted as she peered back into the kitchen.
"Rebecka!", I knew that voice. I shot around in my seat and widened my eyes.
"Mike!? What are you doing here?", I hadn't seen Mike sense I moved down to Alaska. Other than me he took Jason's death really hard. He was like his brother. Claire was talking to Aria as Mike walked over to hug me. She was caring a serious melon.
"I thought you could use some familiar faces.", he said.
"So is it a boy or a girl!? When is it do!", I pressured him.
He backed away from me."It's a boy and he's due on Christmas eve."
I stopped realizing how close it was to my birthday. I would be turning nineteen on December first. I let out a long sigh.
"Hear this is from us.", Mike said holding out a package. His arm was wrapped tightly around Claire. They were getting married on November 30. That was in four days. Wow my birthday really is close.
"What's this for?", I ask holding up the tiny, wrapped box.
"Your birthday. Now open it.", he demanded. I peeled the wrapping off and opened the box. I breathed in a deep breath. It was a an paw-print with a single red gem in the middle and it hung from a tiny silver chain.
"Thank you it's beautiful!", I said hugging them.
"Your welcome, oh yeah, uhm, this is from Jason.", he said holding out a small box just inches bigger than the one they got me. I looked at him confused.
"Before what happened he told me this was for you when you turned nineteen. He hoped to give it to you himself.", Mike shot me a look I didn't quite understand. I knew then he wasn't telling me something. I frowned at him cautiously taking the box. Mike looked away from me avoiding my site. Jason's birthday had passed after the accident. He was turning twenty and would be deemed as alpha.
What is he not telling me?
I put the box on the table. I didn't want to open it. Not yet.
"We have to go.", he said quickly. "I will see you at the wedding. I hope you can make it!", he shouted before disappearing out of the door.
I looked at the box and tears started to well in my eyes I picked it up and walked to my room. I put it under my pillow to keep it safe until I thought I was best to open.
"Hey, you sure you ok?", Aria asked lent up against my door frame.
"Yeah.", I said wiping the traitorous tear that fell down my face.
