"Yeah, I do hope we find her soon!" Carla sighs.
Benny turns the corner, and his eyes widen. "Y/n?!?!" His eyes were red and puffy, and it seemed as if he had been crying. Tears once again prick his eyes. I had seen Benny cry only once before. We were in middle school, and he had failed a quiz that took his grade down a lot. He pulls me into a big hug. "Y/n, Where have you been? I've missed you more than you can imagine, I can't live without you. Please don't leave me again."
"Benny...." I say, with tears pricking my eyes too. I look down at my shoes, causing my hair to fall in my face. "I'm sorry..."
"Come here."
I walk up to him and he pulls me close, wrapping his arms around my shivering, fragile body. Tears flow freely by now, and sad, muffled cries escape my lips as I grip his warm body closer to me.
"Here, let's go to your apartment." He whispers softly to me. I nod against him, and we walk to my apartment.
"I'll leave you two alone," I hear Carla's voice giggle.
"Carla!" Benny hushes her.
We head into my apartment, and I sit on my couch. I put my head into my hands, and try to hold back the tears. I sigh softly.
"So," He says, sitting down next to me, and wrapping his arm around me. "Where the heck were you? Why did you run away? You were gone for 5 hours." He sighs, and gets off the couch and begins pacing the room.
"I was busy," I lie.
"No, Y/n. Why.... Where did you go?"
"Please," I sigh "I'll tell you later, just not now... I am so tired. I'm going to sleep now."
"Y/n," He pauses, "Nevermind, goodnight. Sleep well."
He stops pacing my room, and heads toward the door. Benny opens the door and walks out, but not before looking back at me worriedly. He leaves, and once he does I sigh. That would be my only slip up. I go to my room, and get into my pajamas. I brush my teeth and hair, then I get into my bed, and slip into a restless slumber.
~
"Ugh," I roll away from the ear-piercing alarm which had just woke me up. I stretch, and throw my legs over the side of my bed. I take a shower, put on a f/c hoodie and ripped jeans, along with tennis shoes that match the hoodie color. I blow dry my hair, and put it into a high ponytail. I put on some foundation, concealer, blush, black eyeliner, and highlighter. I also apply purplish pink lipstick. I throw a small purse over my shoulder, and check the time on my phone. 6:15. I have to be at work in one hour exactly. I head over to the apartment office, and walk up to the front desk.
"Hello, how can I help you today, miss?" The young woman at the desk smiles sweetly.
"Uh, could I maybe change apartments?" I question.
"Yes of course," She begins, "Was there a problem with the room now or,"
"No, no, I'm just...." I stumble over my words "Uhm, friend issues."
"Oh!" She exclaims "I understand, of course!"
"Thank you,"
"Of course, now," She looks at a piece of paper. "is room 276 alright?"
"Yes, my current room is 194."
"Ok, perfect! Since you still need to move out of 194, just bring that key by the end of next Thursday."
"Thank you,"
"Of course! Have a wonderful day!" She nods.
"You too, also. If anyone asks for me, don't tell them my new apartment please." I purse my lips.
"Of course."

I decide to move some of the smaller objects into boxes, and find a service to help me move. I eventually do, and hire them from the online site. They tell me the prices and times available. I decide to book them for today, at 7 to 9, as well as tomorrow for the same times. Eventually the time comes, and I head to a dreadful day of work.
As I walk, I enjoy the scenery, as usual. However, when I get to the barrio where I work, which is not even a mile away, I pull my hoodie up, over my head, and look down at my feet when I walk past Usnavi's store. I walk into the salon after pulling the hood off. The women surround me and ask about where I was yesterday. I stay quiet. Eventually, customers interrupt their questions, and the ladies become quiet. I finish up cutting a lady's hair, and Daniela speaks up.
"Hey, Y/n?"
I look up at her "Hm?"
"Since you're the only one not busy, could you grab me a pepsi?"
"Yep,"
"Ooh," Carla chuckles, "Can you get me one too?"
"Could I get a coffee?" Vanessa questions.
"Yes, I'll be back." I finish sweeping the floor, and head out the door.
No, no, no! I'm going to see Usnavi, and Ashlie is gonna hurt my friends. I push the thought aside, and walk to his store. He is outside leaning against the wall. His eyes look distant, his eyebrows are furrowed, he is biting his lip, and looking off into space. He looks perfect, but I can't talk to him. He looks kinda sad, and I wish I could fix it for him, but I just can't. He's better off without me anyway. I snap out of my thoughts, and realize that I'm staring. Luckily he hasn't noticed me yet. I take a deep breath, and head towards the store. My movement closer to him seems to catch his attention. great.
"Oh, hello." He says quickly, but then realizes it's me. "Y/n?! Are you ok? What did I do wrong?"
I ignore him, and walk up to Sonny.
"Yo, can I get 2 Pepsi, and 2 coffees with a little bit of cinnamon?"
"Y/n? You ok?" He asks, getting the sodas and coffees.
"Yeah, I'm ok."
"What was the whole thing 'bout yesterday?" he questions.
"Oh, it's nothing."
"Hmm, if you're so sure."
I hand him the money, and he takes it "I am, thanks for the drinks."
"No problem. Hey I'll see ya later Y/n! We haven't talked as much in awhile."
"Heh, that's true. I'll see you round, Sonny."
Luckily Sonny didn't hear Usnavi and my conversation seconds before. Sonny and I used to have been pretty close friends, even though we were a few years apart.
~
After work, I went quickly home, trying to avoid unwanted attention. The moving crew came to my house and took about half of the heavy furniture out of my old room and into my new room.
