Chapter 7:

The night was quiet, and calm. The only noise was the sound of Loki's horse's hooves against the rainbow bridge. I closed my eyes for a moment to pull myself together. We arrived at the Bifrost in around 5 minutes... I secretly wished it was longer. Once we entered Midgard, there would be no moment for peace and quiet. Thor was waiting for us. He was pacing back and forth.

"Finally! Hurry up you two!" Thor said impatiently. I said nothing. I didn't even smile. Loki jumped off the horse and then helped me down.

"Thanks," I said. He smiled. The three of us ran in.

"I wish you good luck. Be brave. Fight valiantly. Win," Heimdall said. His voice was powerful and calming, in an odd way.

"Thank you, Heimdall," Thor said. Loki took hold of my hand as Heimdall opened the Bifrost. Thor looked shocked as he saw us holding hands, but before he could say anything to us, we were transported to Midgard. It was my first time to Midgard, so I didn't know what to expect. We dropped into a huge body of water. I quickly swam to the surface, gasping for breath.

"Loki? Thor?" I yelled. I didn't see them come up. I tasted the water, it was salty. The ocean. I dove down beneath the water to find Loki and Thor. I saw Thor flailing under the water and Loki swimming towards him. I swam to help. I took hold of Thor's right arm and Loki took his left. We pulled him up to the surface. I saw a beach nearby.

"Loki... Swim to that beach over there!" I spluttered. He nodded and coughed. The water was freezing, and the fact that it was still night didn't help. Together we pulled Thor up onto the beach. "Does he not know how to swim?" I asked Loki. He shook his head and said, "No. He thought it was a useless skill to learn. I didn't though, and look where it's gotten us." I managed a smile. Loki pressed his ear against Thor's chest. "He's breathing. He's fine, he'll get up in a moment." Loki said.

"Doesn't he need some help?!" I said. Loki laughed.

"Trust me... He'll get up. Here watch..." He said. Loki punched Thor hard in the stomach.

"What are you doing?! Are you mad?!" I yelled at Loki. Thor woke up and started coughing up water.

"Told you," Loki said to me. I rolled my eyes and left Loki to deal with Thor. I finally looked around to see where we were. Behind me I saw a rocky cliff and a road just above it. In front of me was the water, and on the other side I saw the shining lights of a city. To my right I saw a huge bridge leading to the city. This must be the city of San Francisco.
