Danger is all around us.
A little push and we will be in the depth of it
A little shove and we narrowly miss it
With scars large and small
Sometimes from the push, others from the shove.
We think we see it coming but hardly
What we think we see is the iceberg
We become, careless, reckless
We can escape it in time we say
We have just enough time to evade it we concur
And we do. Most of the time
But not all the time
Sometimes we look up and it's in our faces,
Slamming into us, slashing, pounding, destroying
It's in those moments that we see, that we realise
We are never careful enough, we can't
Sometimes it's inevitable
Sometimes the danger, it conquers
