A week ago I was on one of the best dates a girl could ever dream of.

The ambience of the restaurant was to die for, the food was cooked just right and to top it off all, the guy looked better than in the pictures.

He was also nice, friendly and spoke well. even if I hadn't been quite attracted to him before we met, now I was . He seemed to be a well grounded guy with life goals..

At the end of the night, we went our seperate ways but I felt like I had made a friend, probably for life.

A second date was arranged for next day later that night

Unfortunately, we had to cancel this one last minute because our schedules collided

Despite this setback, I was still optimistic that we would still find a way, to be something, anything but strangers.

Another major twist was the fact that he lived in a different town and was going back later that day. I was sad I couldn't see him off and sadder that it would be a while before I saw him again.

So I went back to the basics, how we first met. Through text. Though I probably would have preferred a phone call conversation

I have come to learn over time that relationships conveyed over text never last. This should have been the first red flag.

Days before we ever met, when all we did was text till dawn, it was bliss. In these texts, he spoke, we spoke of dreams and desires and hopes of the things we wanted from a potential partner. We wanted the same things..

I don\'t know for him but for me, he seemed perfect_ a kind of guy with a mindset I had always longed for.

Days after the failed second date, we agreed to try out dating...

Well was I stoked for this! I was so elated. I had finally got a boyfriend!!

For two whole days I was on cloud nine. I was smiling at everything. We had made plans to meet again in a few weeks and I just couldn\'t wait. I was so looking forward to seeing him again.
