Concussions Angel (Zoom Academy for superheros Concussion/oc)

(What they didn't see was her twitching incessantly in the chamber not being noticed my any wandering eyes. She can see and hear everything around. Her and one thing she'd been hearing lately is that Connors alive and is coming for her. She continues and begins to succeed from breaking through the ice. Memories flood back from when she was a child making her halt in what she was doing and almost relive them in her mind)

"Connor come on! This'll be fun!" I called over my shoulder jogging toward the water. I glanced over my shoulder seeing my best friend coming up behind me fast. His sapphire blue eyes steadily staring at me as he ran making sure not to lose me. His hair was shaggy and flying back at the speed he was going at.

"Where are we going?" He asked out of breath.

"We're here" I said bending over and placing my hands on my knees. I pointed and took deep breaths. "Remind me to work on my cardio" I said carefully. When I was meet with silence I looked up at him through the loose strands of hair hanging along my face. He was staring out at the place I'd taken him to. It was a brightly lit meadow with a glistening pond in the middle, surrounded by trees. "Connor?" I asked standing straight once again taking in his awed expression.

"What is this place?" He asked carefully still gazing around it.
"It's my place to get away. I've been coming here for years with my parents. But I'm the only one who still comes here. I thought you'd like it here, escaping normal life with me. Escaping idiotic sibling tendencies"
"Jackie does have those tendencies" he said.

I looked toward the lake a gasped when I saw a snake attack a small fox. I ran forward toward it and let out a screech that seemed to make the snakes head bust. Dying immediately as I approached the snake became lifeless. I knelt down next to it earning a small chirping sound from the cute thing. I felt my hands warm up when I touched the small thing.

"You are such a beauty" i said picking the small creature up and gathering her in my arms. I watched as her wounds suddenly began to close.

Thank you miss i heard a small voice say. I looked down at my arms to see the fox looking up at me.

"Are you talking?" I whispered

Yes miss the voice said again.

"Jessabelle?" Connor called kneeling next to me.

"I, Don't know what just happened" I said looking up at him with confused eyes.

"I don't either ?" He asked wrapping his arm around my shoulder and looking at the small fox in my hands. He tilted his head at the small creature that returned the same gesture. He reached his finger out and scratched her lightly under the chin making her squirm. He looked toward the river and then back to me old to push me out of the way quickly so I was a few feet away as a strange force or sound wave erupted from his fists toward what looked like another snake about to bite my leg. The snake flew through the air and was bashed against a tree. I put the fox down and slowly stood up walking carefully to where Connor was on his knees staring at his hands.

"Con..."I began as I kneeled beside him.

"I, I-" he tried but found no words. I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him into a hug firmly and pulled him against me as I sat back on my heels. He fell into me clutching me like a lifeline.

"Thank you" I whispered "you saved my life" I said rusting my head against the top of his as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"You, the snake, I, I couldn't let it hurt you" he said "th, then my hands did something...what did they do?"he asked scaredly.

"You shot some sort of sound wave or force. It made the snake go away." I said softly "we are both different" I said remembering my experience a moment ago. Making that sound, talking to the fox, the agility of getting to the fox in time. And healing her.

"How are the things we do even possible?" Connor asked confused.

"I don't know, but whatever is going on with us...maybe it happened for a reason" I said clutching him harder to me.

"Whatever the reason, we have to protect Jack from it. If he has it too, how long do you think it will take before people start using us as lab rats?" Connor asked

"As long as we keep it a secret it won't be a problem" I said softly pulling my arms from him and making him look my in the eye by pulling his chin up. His sapphires meet my grey eyes and looked at me in confusion.

"I won't let anything happen to you or jack, I promise" I said

"Don't make promises you can't keep" he said under his breath. I sighed and said

"Than I will try my absolute hardest" I said earning a nod. Feeling the need to cheer him up I got up and pulled him with me.

"The waters not gonna play in itself!" I called jumping into the water hearing a splash sound behind me. I let out a loud giggle as I saw his mop of hair covering his face. He splashed me and started a water war making both of us soaked by the time night came.

"I'm with you till the end of the ride" Connor said as we emerged from the water holding hands.

"To the moon and back" I said finishing our fraze as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder grabbing the towel front he ground with our things and wrapping us both in them as we set off towards home through the forest.
