"Do you maybe want to go to the Dance with me?" I heard Connor ask from next to me. I smiled and tilted my head.

"Of course I would" I said smiling at him. You see Connor and I had grown closer than you'd think.

Flashback

I sat with my legs dangling from the roof as I gazed out at the setting horizon over the desert.

"Here you are" I heard Connors voice say. I looked back and smiled.

"Here I am. Where you looking for me about something?" I asked petting Shadow who sat on my lap fully grown and moody as a moody 1 year old.

"I've been trying to say something for year and never got the courage to do it. After I saw you in the simulations today, I knew I couldn't hold it back any longer." He said shyly. I stood up carefully placing Shadow next to me.

"Connor? Are you alright?" I asked stepping toward him slowly.

"I, I just need to get something off my chest, be patient with me? Please Jessabella" he said using my full name. I looked at him shocked but I still nodded my head.

"Ever since the first moment I laid eyes on you. Yes I know that was just after we were born. I knew we'd be close but I never knew to what extent. Over the years, you've seen me break plenty of things while I've seen you do the same,and the one thing we never broke was our friendship, we found was to grow at and manifest it into what it is today. But Jessa, I've felt differently for a long time now." He paced back and forth. My eyes watching him as I took careful steps forward kind of seeing where this was going "I feel more than what we've been treating this as. I don't know if you feel the same, but I just wanted to get this off my chest before we are out into a situation where I can't tell you any longer. I lo-" I cut him off by pressing my lips to his, taking his face in mine. His eyes were wide in shock but he soon relaxed and kissed me back sliding his hand behind my neck pulling me closer to him. We both pulled away with heavy breaths staring into each other's eyes.

"I love you too" I whispered pressing my lips against his once again.

End Flashback

I smiled and thought of what I would wear for tonight. I remembered a dress I had found in my wardrobe when we first got here and pulled it from the shelf I hid it on. It was a dress a shade of baby blue and would travel to my knees in a flowy fabric with a satin white belt around my waist while the top of the dress clung to my figure accenting my breasts. I pulled white heels from my trunk and slipped them on.

I curled my hair and pulled it into a ponytail letting some loose hairs frame my face in curls. I did my makeup lightly knowing Connor didn't like makeup on me. I saw Shadow in her bed and smiled running my fingers through her fur.

"Wish me luck girl"

I let out a breath and walking into the main hall between the Rooms and saw Dianne standing with Alice.

"Wow" she said in her dark purple dress staring at me. Alice wore the same expression and smiled.

"He's gonna be drooling" alice said with a squeal. I rolled my eyes and said

"You both look lovely" they smiled and nodded to me. A knock sounded at the door to our group of rooms.

"Girls? Are you ready yet?" I heard Jed's voice

"Coming" I heard Dianne call. She opened the door letting the boys in. First was Jed who was admiring his girlfriends looks, then was Jack who had already started dating Alice. Then there was Connor who stood like a stone in the doorway staring at me. I smiled gently and began to walk forward.

"Close your mouth, you'll catch flies" I said pushing up his dropped jaw. He snapped out of it in a second and smiled at me.

"You look absolutely wonderful love" he whispered wrapping his arms around me. I giggled and looked him over appreciatively, loving how the black suit he wore accented his newly acquired muscles that made him to me look more like a man.

"And you positively handsome" I said right back.

"Shall we Everyone?" Dianne asked. We all followed her and Jed to the room where the dance was going to be held with bated breath. None of us knew what to expect, only that it was a supposed dance.

"Everyone ready?" Jed asked. We all nodded as he swung open the doors. The dance was nice, it was light by luminescent bio-organisms the lab cooked up. The music that was paying was smooth Jazz and a little bit of pop.

"Care to dance milady?" Connor asked bowing to me.

"I'd love to my lord" I said daintily making him chuckle and take my hand. He lead me to the dance floor as a slow song came on, he sang the lyrics softly into my ear and swayed to the music with me clutched to him gracefully.

The night passed fast and smoothly.

That was the last time we got to do anything like that.
