Reunited

I didn't hear what Jack or Connor was saying until I heard.

"You shouldn't have tried to stop me Jackie! They killed her! My everything!" Connor yelled

"Jackie!? What did mom tell you about calling me Jackie!?" Connor walked forward and blasted Jack back. I winced and felt a tear drip down my cheek.

"Wow, you certainly haven't lost your touch brother" jack said holding his chest.

"Have you lost your powers jack?" Connor asked confused

"Well..." jack began but was blasted away again by Connor. He strode forward and stood over Jack. "You've got to stop doing that" jack said beginning to stand.

"You have lost your powers jack" Connor said a bit mockingly.

"Boy, hey are those new boots? Now when you say I lost my powers... I think if I really looked I could find them" jack said rolling his neck and cracking it. But Connor wasn't having any of it. He blasted Jack again and sent him flying back. I saw Connor holding Jack up by the front of the shirt with his fist back. I pulled myself into a kneeling position ready to interfere.

"This is it Jack. I've waited 30 years for this." This was when Pibb made an appearance at the top of the cliff to the left of me. "Pibb? Pibb? Wow, they must have really dragged you out of the moth balls huh? Well I hope you've got an army behind you" Connor said fixing his cloves and shaking out his hands. But he stopped immediately as if he were shocked. "Or a tiny girl in pigtails. What is this? Attack of the preschoolers?" Connor asked making me wince.

"Kids! They don't know what they're doing. Connor, this is between you and me"

"So this is the new team huh?" Connor asked a bit angry

"Cindy go back!" Jack called when Cindy ran forward about a quarter of the way.

"You just run up to the big bad guy all Willy nilly eh? Is that how it goes?" Connor asked. I heard something, a loud noise a second later and looked across the way. Something exploded from a cannon and was headed toward Connor, but he in last minute thinking made it ricochet to Cindy.

"Cindy run!" I heard Marsha yell.

"No! No!" Jack shouted.

"Zoom!" Cindy cried scared. I could see jacks body vibrating from here and I smirked. I stood in a crouch watching. Jack speed off and took Cindy with him away from the device. I heard a beep and knew what I had to do. I launched from my hiding spot and down to where the team stood.

"She okay, Jack got her" I said to them

"Oh thank god" Marsha said. A moment later Jack rushed back with Cindy in his arms.

"I knew it! I knew you hadn't lost your powers!" Marsha said happily.

"I guess I just needed a reason to use them." Jack said making me smile

"Jack I'm sorry, you were right, we weren't ready." Dylan said confessing.

"Yeah yeah, come on! You read the comic books! First plan never turns out right."

"Is that it! Is that all you got!" Connor shouted blasting the government.

"Jess..." Jack said making me look at him.

"Distract him until I get back. Don't reveal just yet" he said making me nod. I spread my wings and launched faster than before into the air.

"Concussion! They were not alone!" I shouted as I flew into the air above him by hundreds of meters.

"Who are you?" He called

"Archangel!" I shouted before screaming my supersonic screech that was said to destroy brains. My scream clashed with his sonic punches as he tried to keep up with me. I dove down and beat my wings fast dodging his punches.
