Chapter 28: Moving Day

5 minutes later...
Grayson's POV
"I get why we have to move Chandler, I really do, but I don't want to leave just yet. I-I...what if Daniel finally wakes up, knocks out the people who kidnapped his corpse and returns home, only to find out that our house is for sale? I don't want that. I'd rather have Daniel move with us."
"I know Grayson, but I'm sure that Daniel will find us somehow. As long as he follows his heart, he'll be able to find us."
"I hope so."
"We will see Daniel again. I know we will."
"I know."
"At least Daniel won't be homeless, he can live with Tracy and his kids."
"That is true. Now let's finish packing."
"Good idea."

25 minutes later...
"We're finally done packing. And since we have half an hour until we leave, what would you like to do to pass the time?"
"I'm not sure Grayson. What do you want to do?"
"We could just have a brotherly talk."
"About Daniel? Or about us in general?"
"We can do both."
"Sounds good to me."
"So Grayson, do you have any other favourite memories of Daniel that you have yet to share? Or any favourite memories that you have of me before we met Daniel?"
"There's quite a few memories that I made with Daniel that I haven't told you about, but those can wait. And I do have a few memories that I made with you."
"Such as?"
"That time you covered my entire face with whipped cream before I woke up and I could just hear you laughing your ass off while I was on my way to use the washroom."
"You remember that?"
"Remember it? There's a picture to commemorate that day. Even though I was only five at that time that was a pretty funny joke you pulled on me."
"And it's still funny to this day. Did you ever tell Daniel about that moment?"
"No. But when I see him again I will."
"Any other favourite memories that you have of the two of us, or our family?"
"There's that time we went camping for a few days, which was quite fun. And I must say I drank a lot of beer during those two days...root beer to be precise."
"Yeah, we did have fun camping until your arm broke on the second day which ended our camping weekend early."
"It wasn't my fault, some asshole pushed me into a metal pole, and since I was only eight years old, not only was I not able to defend myself, but bones tend to break more easily when you're a child."
"I know that it wasn't your fault, but at least we had fun while we were camping, right?"
"Absolutely."
"Any other memories you want to share?"
"There is one other memory that I'd like to share."
"And what might that be?"
"The day we met John Cena and Triple H at ComicCon."
"Yeah, that was an exciting moment. Now what about the memories you kept hidden that you made with Daniel?"
"Have I told you about the time when me and Daniel sang karaoke during our anniversaries?"
"No. What songs did you two sing? Were you doing a duet?"
"For the first two songs we sang were duets, but the other two were solo. And the first two songs we sang were "It's You" by Westlife and "Nothing's Going To Change My Love For You" by Westlife." During the second song Daniel was looking at me from the corner of his eyes and was just smiling the entire time, but during the chorus we did turn to face each other and did a little one arm dance."
"And how did the diners react after both songs?"
"Standing ovation for both duet songs."
"Wow! When Daniel comes back the whole family should go out for dinner to celebrate and both of you can perform those same two songs again."
I blushed.
"I guess we could. After all Daniel and I did have a blast, so why the hell not, let's do it!"
"So what solo songs did you two sing?"
"Daniel and I both sang three solo songs, I sang  "Hey There Delilah" but I did tweak the lyrics so it would fit with my anniversary with Daniel. I also sang, "You and Me" by Lifehouse, and the third song I sang was, "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri."
"And what did Daniel sing?"
"The first song Daniel sang was "Amazed" by Lonestar, the second song was "Then He Kissed Me" by The Crystals, and the last song he sang surprised me because he sang "Rap God" by Eminem."
"Did he mess up?"
"Nope. It's like he practiced that song each and every day since it was released."
"I can't wait to hear him sing it."
"I actually recorded his performances and I still have them on my phone. Want to watch?"
"Yes."
"Would you like to watch all three performances or just his last performance? Oh and I also have an audio recording of our duet performances."
"I'm down to watch and listen to all of them."
"Ok. I'll be in my bedroom making sure I didn't miss anything, and I also don't want to...you know, get all emotional and start crying to the point that you can't hear anything."
"I understand. How which audio recording are your duet performances on?"
"Look for GXD duetP#1 and the same goes for number two, and the videos are already in order. Feel free to watch all six videos, since Daniel sent me the videos he took."
"Ok."

35 minutes later...
I returned to Chandler's room and he immediately handed me my phone back.
"So? What'd you think?"
"Up until Daniel sang "Rap God" it was all very romantic. It just goes to show how much you two love each other."
"Yep."
"So did you forget anything?"
"I did, I forgot a few pieces of the jewelry Daniel bought for me and a few pictures that were hidden away."
"So you have everything now?"
"Yep."
"Good."
"What about you Chan? Do you have everything?"
"Yes I do."
"Did you pack the vinyl record that Daniel left you?"
"Yes I did."
"Grayson, can you come here please!? We found something else that Daniel left you!"
"Coming!"

Downstairs...
"What'd you find?"
"Another present and another letter that goes with it."
"Thanks for finding this mom."
"You're welcome."
"Now let's see what the letter says before I open the present."
So I opened the letter and started to read it.
Dear Grayson,
I've been meaning to give this gift to you for awhile now, but I always forgot about it. Inside your present is something you're going to really love, and I hope that you love this gift that I made you, just as much as I love you.
Sincerely,
Daniel.
I put the letter down and just tore the wrapping paper off the box. Before I opened the box I took a few deep breaths, and when I did there was a note telling me to flip the box over. So I did, then I threw the box and the note aside and when I saw what was in the box just made me tear up. It was a black leather jacket with a picture of Daniel and I in the shape of a heart, which was surrounded by a pink out line, which had roses connected to it, and for the pièce de résistance it said "I'll Always Love You" near the top in pink.
"This is an amazing gift. And it's even self made, this must've took Daniel a long time to make."
"I'm sure it did."
I put the jacket on to see if it fit, and surprisingly it did.

Chandler's Room...
"Oh hey Grayson, nice jacket."
"Thanks. Now let me show you the back."
I turned around and waited to hear Chandler's reaction.
"Damn! That's amazing."
"I know, Daniel made it for me."
I took the jacket off and placed it back in the box.
"I wonder where we're moving to."
"Same here Grayson."

Later that day...
"Well here we are our new home in Los Angeles."
"At least it's furnished, so which room will I be sleeping in?"
"Take a look around and you can decide for yourself."
I started walking towards the washroom on the main floor, up to the room right next to it and entered.
I started to walk around the room to see if I liked it, and I did. Not just because it was right next to the washroom, but because it was a fair sized room. It was painted blue. It had a wooden box tv stand with shelves for multiple stuff, which was perfect for my PS4 and my tv, and obviously it had a closet. So I claimed it as my room.

3 hours later...
We were finally settled in and finally had everything hooked up, so we sat down in the living room and watched some television as we ate our dinner. For dinner we were having the exact same dinner Daniel made that one time.
"Not as good as when Daniel made it, but it's still very good dad."
"Thanks Grayson."
"You're welcome."

11:30 p.m.
I couldn't get to sleep, I was tossing and turning but then I started to see things, and I saw Daniel standing next to my bed. Obviously I knew that I wasn't dreaming, so I closed my eyes and shook my head, and he was gone, but he appeared again a few minutes later.
"Can't sleep?"
"No."
"Would be able to fall asleep if I told you that I'm back alive because of what you did?"
"Then how am I...wait is this just my self conscious telling me what I want to hear?"
"Kind of. You see I'm not physically here, I'm still in the warehouse where those people who robbed my grave took me, this is just an out of body experience that I'm having to talk to you."
"Are you ok? They didn't hurt you? Rape you? Tickled you into submission?"
Daniel just chuckled.
"No. They didn't, and don't worry they didn't take any of my jewelry, but there's one thing you have to know."
"And what's that?"
"They're going to..."
Before Daniel could finish his sentence he disappeared. But I decided to worry about it tomorrow, so just knowing that my plan finally worked was enough for me to fall asleep.

Now the next chapter may get confusing but just bear with me because it won't be a permanent thing. Because the title of the next chapter is Erased Memories, but not all of Daniel's memories have been erased. Only some of them, such as the fact that he's dating Grayson, that Grayson's family is also apart of his family, and how he met Grayson and his family.
