Chapter 6
The halls were mostly deserted when I finally got back into the school. I couldn't believe how terribly this meeting had gone, honestly was I that prone to bad luck. I unlocked my dorm door and let out a quiet sigh as I entered setting my key's on the table beside the door, a note was placed perfectly in the middle of the table.
"Hey roomie I won't be back till tomorrow morning so don't wait up for me, hope your "date" went awesome. Also if you need me just call i'll be there in a blink of an eye. Love Maria :)"
I smiled and set the note back in it's place before removing my boots and walking into the living room. I couldn't help but feel depressed, yes I knew that this wasn't a date and that I shouldn't feel dicouraged but honestly I couldn't help it. Somehow I had drifted off to sleep on the sofa, I could feel something cold stroking my face, some kind of dark aura surronding me. I heard it then, a chilling voice saying "I'll be coming for you Darcy" in my ear, I could feel it, their breath this wasn't a dream. I awoke with a gasp and looked around before curling into a ball and sobbing. What was that? Why did it feel so real? Am I going crazy? Questions soared one by one through my mind, all as reasonable as the next. I jolted up and felt around for my cell phone, once I had a hold of it I clicked the power button and the bright screen flashed, I put in my code and waited for it to unlock. I saw it then a message, the number was unknown but the words that painted the screen were enough to know who it was.
"Don't get to comfortable, i'll be coming for you Darcy"
I gasped and pressed the back button before typing in Maria's number frantically. The phone connected and rang only once before Maria answered with a hello, sounding winded and frantic herself.
"Hello?" I asked frantically into the reciever
"Darcy, are you ok? What's wrong?" She asked in a worred tone, I could tell something was wrong on her end as well but I wrote it off as worry.
"C-Can you come h-h-home?" Tears started streaming down my face before I realized I was balling.
"Oh god Darcy what happened? Are you safe? Tell me what happened" Maria's voice was louder now more frantic than before.
"Someone was here Maria....Someone touched me" My voice quivered with every word, I was starting to lose it. "Maria...Please...Please hurry!" I whispered softly, my tears were more like a waterfall falling freely. The sound of wind scratched through the phone and I knew Maria had to be running. I sat quiet on the floor my eye's wide open, my heart beating loudly. The door swung open and I crawled around the couch on my knee's in fear before the lights came on. Travis was standing in the doorway, no shirt and in his boxer's, obviously Maria had called him and he jumped out of bed.
"Darcy!" He boomed, I jumped up and ran to him not really thinking about anything else but the saftey of his arms. He let out a soft sigh into my hair as I clutched onto him roughly.
"Maria called me completely hysterical and screamed at me to get down here....what's going on Darcy why are you shaking?" I looked up and almost fell to my knee's, if it wasn't for Travis supporting my body I may have dropped. I sucked in a breath and let the tears drain before I began to speak.
"I fell...fell asleep, and someone....someone was in here Travis.....They touched me, spoke to me....they said i'll be coming for you Darcy...I...I even got a text message to prove it" I said shakily. Travis nodded and furrowed his brow as he thought hard to himself. I could tell he was barely taking in my words when a frantic and out of breath Maria ran into the room and right at me.
