( Author Chan: I thought this song describes Todoroki pretty well so I'll be referencing it in this chapter )
"Can you describe the feelings and thoughts you get when you see her? I might be able to understand what you're feeling more. And explain the first time you met." Shouto nodded and thought of where to begin. "On the first day, she was getting yelled at by someone so I asked if she was being bothered."
'That's my boy.' Rei said to herself in her mind, very proud of her son's act of kindness.
"She handled the situation just fine on her own. My first thought I had of her was that she was no damsel in distress. I didn't think much of her and the others in our class, I just thought she was another face to come and go. Yet she did make quite the impression on the rest of the class due to her dramatic entrance after she was late. After I saw how good she was doing on the tests I felt the urge to talk to her since it's not everyday you see someone who could possibly beat a pro hero in a fight on the first day. Yet I did think she was a lesbian at one point." Rei raised a brow but decided not to ask.
"During lunch I sat alone, knowing I shouldn't get attached to my classmates. But then she sat with me, it warmed my heart and I think that's when my feelings started to develop. We started to grow closer as the days went on and my feelings grew stronger and stronger to the point where I wanted to protect her till the end of my life. I would do anything for her, Mom, even commit murder if she asked me to. I would listen to her troubles and doubts all day long if she needed to rant to someone. She's calm, caring, creative, and collected. If I could, I would tattoo her name on my arm to show her how much she means to me. She's so accepting and determined and compassionate. If I'm ever feeling down I just think of her smile and I automatically feel better, she's like a lucky charm. She's honest and loyal and generous and she makes me feel like I matter in this world. Her hair is stunning and her eyes make the stars look dull. I wouldn't be surprised if someone mistaken her for a goddess. She has the kindest heart and the purest soul. Her personality and sense of humor are unique and amazing in a variety of different ways. She's so understanding and forgiving and brave and respects me for who I am. She doesn't get jealous which I admire greatly and I always look forward to seeing her."
Shouto stopped right when he was digging deeper into why he admires you, feeling like his mom was getting bored. Rei smiled and nodded. "Keep going Shouto, let it all out." The corners of Shouto's mouth lifted a bit as he allowed himself to rant again.
"She's confident and selfless and she's self-sacrificing as well as insightful. All she wants to do is make everyone happy and she isn't dramatic or manipulative. She'll never ignore anyone and is willing and assertive. She's so sweet and innocent is such a good friend. She's a very good listener and can always keep the conversation going which makes me so comfortable talking to her. She's smart, mature, knowledgeable, and helpful. She's not clingy or possessive and loves and enjoys life. Her empathy and her good morals inspire me to be a better person and I feel like I'm my best self when I'm with her. She's trustworthy and strong and it's cute how much she loves food."
Rei could clearly tell that her son could go a whole day talking about you and by his description of you she already knew she's gonna love you.
"Our friendship is stress free and I would rather be with her than anyone else. She's outspoken, including and socially friendly and can focus on multiple things at once without being stressed. Sure she has her flaws like everyone else but that doesn't stop me from loving her and her kind heart. I would tell her how beautiful she is everyday if I could. She's special. I still don't know what makes her so special to this world but one day I will." Rei smiled softly at her son's gushy feelings for you and already knew what he was feeling.
