The loud bell erupts all over the school, indicating the end of classes. Just two more days to go until the tests and shortly after that the Choosing Ceremony, which will determine which faction we would join from there on out.

 Faction before Blood.

The hallways of the school looks as though it is a melting pot of sorts – from the black and white of the Candor, to the blue of the Erudite, the yellows and reds of the Amity, the gray of Abnegation and the black of Dauntless – the five factions that will welcome these 16 year olds by the end of the Choosing Ceremony; the mixture gives rise to the dizzying chaos that usually happens after school. One such 16 year old seems immune to all the chaos as he walks around confidently, both ears are gauged making him look harsh and intimidating; a piercing above his right eyebrow catches the glint of the light every now and then. The tattoos on his neck makes him look menacing and his all black outfit adds only to the bad-boy persona – without a doubt, this boy is a part of the Dauntless faction. He stops at a locker, leans against it with a bored expression on his gorgeous face. He impatiently looks at his watch to check the time hoping to gauge if the train would be coming soon or not. He rolls his eyes in frustration because there’s still 20 more minutes to go. Eric is not the most patient man and it's only been a minute that he's been waiting and he's already getting antsy.

“Yo Eric, waiting for your girl?” a guy named Zeke passes by with his little brother Uriah. Both are from Dauntless.

“Yeah man, she’s taking for-fucking-ever, as usual” Eric rolls his eyes in frustration and he crosses his arms across his chest.

“Man I saw her outside the school, just in front of the entrance with Tinsley and Kiran” Zeke said, as he rolled his eyed at the mention of the last name. "Off again?" Eric smirks. Zeke just replies with an exaggerated groan just before he turned the corridor and disappeared towards the other set of lockers at the other side of the school.

“Fucking hell” Eric mutters and he pushes off the locker and walks towards the exit. As soon as he walks out of the doors of the school, he spots his girlfriend, without a doubt the most beautiful girl in the entire school. From where he was, he could see her long, black, loosely curled hair, her long and tanned legs and today she is wearing a short skirt. Eric smirked at this.

“Audrey!” Eric yells as he makes his way towards his girlfriend, she was still too far away that she didn't hear him call her name. The front of the school was crowded with students from all sorts of factions but a way was paved for him as people just moved away from his path, except one – “Stiff you better move” Eric warns and he gives the short girl from Abnegation a glare. She is skinny and she’s got a pointed nose, not a pretty girl by any standards and he had no clue who she was. “Why don’t you –“ she began but a boy from Abnegation pulled her by the arm and he lectured her in hushed tones. “That’s right stiff, walk away” Eric teased her with malice dripping from his voice as he continued to walk, shaking his head at the audacity of Stiffs these days, trying to stand up against a Dauntless - who did she think she was? he thought.

“Girls I was wondering if I could talk to my girlfriend alone" Eric’s voice stopped the conversation among the three girls – one was a redhead, Kiran and the other was blonde, Tinsley. “Go on guys, I’ll catch up with you at the Pit later” the tallest one of the three and obviously the most beautiful, said. As soon as the two girls walked away, Eric gently grabs a hold of the girl’s skinny waist and holds her close to his body. “Why are you out here? I thought we agreed to meet by your locker after class?” he asked calmly but there was venom in his tone, as he tucks a small section of the girl's smooth hair behind her ear. The girl rolls her beautiful light blue eyes and she places her hands gently on the back of Eric’s neck to caress it with her thumb. “Babe, I forgot to tell you but I went out cause Tinsley and Zeke had a little fight out here just like 15 minutes ago, you know how they are, well they pretty much just broke up, that’s why I’m out here as well” she tried to calm down her annoyed boyfriend. She gave him a kiss, which he gladly accepted because he knew every little fucker out here is jealous of him, they’ve always been jealous cause he’s been dating the most beautiful girl for 2 years now. He pulled her even closer by her waist and made the kiss deeper. “They broke up again? No wonder Zeke acted off when I ran into him a little while ago. What's that, like the 3rd time this month? Why is it – you know what, never mind them, the point is, you shouldn’t have fucking made me wait there, Audrey. You know how much I fucking hate waiting around. I looked like a fucking idiot, just waiting around for my girlfriend.” Audrey tilted her head back in laughter, letting her gorgeous, long, black hair dance around, down her back. Eric squeezed her waist “It’s not funny at all, Audrey.” She pushed her boyfriend’s hands off her waist and entwined their hands instead. “Everyone knows you were waiting for me anyways. Plus, I think its kind of funny and not to mention cute and romantic” she teases him, while they make their way to the pillars that support the train tracks. He roughly takes his hand away and walks backwards. “One, it still isn’t funny to me. Two, I don’t do cute. Three, romantic rarely comes out of me and you know that.” Audrey laughed again. “Yes, two years with you have taught me that no romance shall be expected from you. Should I remind you of last Valentine’s Day? Yeah, no, didn’t think so. If you didn’t salvage that at the last moment with –“
