Aiden's POV
We're still driving, heading towards her house. And I had NO IDEA that her house is so far away. Though she said that we were close.

She said that about 30 minutes ago.

"Umm...Hailey?" I said.
"We're almost there don't worry." She said.

"How'd you know what I was about to ask?" I said curiously.

"You've asked the same question every five minutes." She said annoyingly.

"I have? Oh sorry. It's just that you answered the same answer 30 minutes ago." I said.

"We're here." She said.

"WHAT?!??" I said, Immediately stepping on the brake pads. I gave her an annoyed look and she just laughs at me. I parked the car infront of her house.

"Why'd you do that?" I asked.

"Do what?" She said.

"You didn't tell me that we were THAT close!" I said.

"I told you that we were close." She said while holding her laugh.

I just grunted and crossed my arms, but I couldn't possibly be mad at her for long.

Before we knocked at the door, she nudged me.

"You look cute when your angry." She giggled then knocked at the door.

Before I could reply, the door opened. "Hailey! I thought you were with your friend?"

She said. She obviously didn't see me. "Yeah, I just need to get some clothes so that I won't have to borrow his sister's anymore". "Whose he?", she asked, "Aiden", I answered. "Ok then, who's Aiden?".Then Hailey jerked her thumb to my direction.

"Oh! Sorry, I didn't see you there." She said. "I could tell." I said and realized that I was rude. "Sorry, it's a habit." I said immediately.

"It's fine, my fault I didn't see you." She said while smiling.

"So, is this your friend?" She said turning her attention to Hailey.

"Yup! He's nice if you get to know him." She said.

"I see. Can I speak with him privately?" She said. After her statement, I felt a rush of nervousness enter my spine. Hailey looked at me with a questioning face and I just nodded. Her mom led me to a room, which I assume is the kitchen? "Aiden." She said. "Umm...Yes?" I said nervously. She...Hugged me?

"Thank you for letting my daughter live with you for a while. Me and her father had a conflict that might make him hurt her, and I can't let that happen. So please let her stay at your place until we got arranged with her father, okay?" She said.

"It's fine Mrs. Allison. She's really fun to be with. Plus, I've got plenty of room at my place." I said. She let go of me and looked at me straight in the eyes.

"We don't have to be formal Aiden, you can call me Mom if you'd like too." She said while smiling.

"Okay." I said returning a smile.

"You guys finished talking yet?! I'm bored." Hailey said.

"Yes dear, we're done." Hailey's mom said while leading me out of the kitchen.

We finished packing some of Hailey's things and started heading outside. Before we could go, her mom grabbed my shoulder.

"Please take care of her." She whispered then let go of me.

I nod at her and she smiled, so I returned her with a smile while walking to my car. Hailey was already there. "Let's go?" I asked.

"Yup." She said while opening the window. I started the car and noticed Hailey waving outside the window. So I looked at where she was looking, and found her mom waving her back. This almost brought me to tears as memories soon flooded my brain. But I tried my best to not let them see.

Hailey soon closed the window, and put on her sit belt. Then I started driving, heading back to my house.

I pity her though.
