RING. RING. RING.
I picked up my phone and accepted the call. Not even bothering to check who was calling.
"Hello? Who's this?" I asked the person at the other end.
"Ah! Aiden! This is your good ol bot purchaser, Meinard!" Meinard said.
"Ah, Sir Meinard! Why'd you call?" I asked.
"I was just wondering if there are any bots to be sold at this moment?" He asked.
"Yeah. I built 4. They're ready to go." I said.
"Oh! Good! Same price?" He asked.
"100,000 dollars per piece, yup!" I said.
"Good! I'll give you a check once I arrive at your house." He said.
"Sure. I'll get them ready." I said.
"Oh. And, One thing." He said.
"What is it Sir Meinard?" I asked.
"Can you build something that could enhance body parts?" He asked.
"Hmm, I'll try." I said.
"Okay! Don't worry. They'll have a greater price. Okay, I have to go. Bye." He said.
"Kay, Bye." I said. Ending the call.
I placed my phone on a table and brought my attention back at Auntie J.
"Sorry. It was a customer." I said.
"Customer?" She asked.
"Oh. The one who buys these robonoids." I said as I pointed at one. "I heard that one of these costs a fortune?" She said.
"100,000 dollars to be exact." I said.
"Wow. I guess you don't need my help at financial stuff." She said.
"Yeah. I build these things for my needs. If I ever need money, I'll just build one of these and call a customer. They'll buy them quick." I said.
"Well. I gotta go. My family's probably looking for me. Bye." She said. Standing up then kissing my forhead and headed for the door.
"Okay. Bye Auntie J!" I said. Waving at her.
"Bye dear." She said. Then drove off.
I closed the door and sat at the couch. Playing a few games while waiting for Sir Meinard.
I played for hours and he still wasn't here.
So I cleaned up my gaming set and held my phone.
"Hey Hailey?" I texted.
"You busy tomorrow?" I texted.
"I just thought if we could hang out after school..." I texted.
I was about to send another text when there was a knock on the door. Probably Sir Meinard.
I hurriedly took 4 robonoids with me and opened the door.
Just as I expected. Sir Meinard was there.
"Aiden! I see that you have your robonoids with you." He said.
I let him take all four.
"Here's your payment." He said.
He handed me a check.
"Oh geez. Thanks!" I said.
He nodded and was about to leave when I noticed something.
"Umm. Sir Meinard?" I said.
He turned his head to look at me.
"Yes?" He said.
"Why does the check say 500,000? I only gave you 4 bots." I asked.
"It's extra. I've been buying bots from you for years now. Just thought I should give you a little more than just my payment." He said, smiling.
"Thanks! But you really shouldn't have." I said.
"I insist." He said. Placing the robonoids in his Ferrari F40 LM.
"Well. Okay. Thanks again!" I said, waving.
"No problem Aiden!" He said. Driving off.
I went back inside and ran to my bedroom.
I plopped down my bed and fell asleep.
