Chappie Nine

Aiden's POV
Bouquet of flowers? Check. 
Guitar? Check. 
Nervousness? Totally check. 

We're getting ready for our surprise for Hailey and I'm freaking out! I hope I get this right. 

I can hear Hailey calling my name from the bedroom, so I started playing my guitar. 

Before I could start singing, Hailey already came out of the room. 

"Aiden? What's this?" She said, then I started to sing. 

I'm only one, call away. 
I'll be there to save the day. 
Superman's got nothing on me. 
I'm only one, call away. 

She just stood there, staring at me. So I continued.

Then Ryan came out holding a red rose, and handed it to Hailey. Just as planned. 

Reaching out to you, so take a chance.
No matter where you go. 
You know you're not alone.

Next was Ralph, he did the same thing that Ryan did.

I'll be there to save the day. 
Superman's got nothing on me. 
I'm only one call away. 

Then John came out and also gave a rose to Hailey. 

Come along with me and don't be scared. 
I just wanna set you free. 
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon. 
You and me can make it anywhere.  For now, we can stay here for a while.  Cause you know, I just wanna see you smile. 

Then Kimmy came with another rose.

No matter where you go. 
You know you're not alone. 

Then Samantha came with another rose.

I'm only one, call away. 
I'll be there to save the day.
Superman's got nothing on me. 
I'm only one call away. 

Then Ms. Lee with another rose. 

And when you're weak, I'll be strong.
I'm gonna keep holding on. 
Now don't you worry, it won't be long.
Darling, and when you feel like hope is gone. 
Just run into my arms. 

Then Arianne with another rose. 

I'm only one, call away. 
I'll be there to save the day. 
Superman's got nothing on me.

I'll be there to save the day.

Before continuing, I put the guitar down and grabbed the bouquet of flowers with 8 roses, and stood up.

Slowly walking to Hailey. 

I'm only one, call away...

I gave the bouquet to Hailey. 

"Happy Birthday." I whispered to her ears. 

I waited for her response. Until she cried. 

"H-Hailey? Are you okay?" I said.  She cried even harder. 

"Y-you g-guys really d-did this for m-me?" She said, stuttering. 

"Of course!" We all said in unison. 

"T-thanks you guys are the best!" She managed to say. 

"You should thank Aiden though." Ralph said and winked at me. 

"You planned this?" She asked. 

"Yeah, did you like it?" I

"No." She said. 

This immediately broke my heart. 

"I love it!" She said, hugging me. 

"Heh, did you notice that there's still a missing rose?" I asked. 

"Huh?" She said, counting the roses.  "Yeah, I'm turning 16. Why 15 though?" She said. 

I giggled and jerked my thumb at an open door. 

Then Hailey's mother came in with the last rose. 

I saw the surprise in Hailey's eyes. And she immediately ran into her mother's arms. 

"Mom! You're here too?" She said, starting to cry again.

"I couldn't possibly miss my baby girl's birthday!" Her mom said, giving the rose to her. 

"I missed you so much." She said. 

"Me too." Her mom said.  Then Hailey ran to me and hugged me again. 

"Thank you so much! This is the best birthday ever!" She said. 

I smiled and hugged her back. 

"Let's go party!" I heard Arianne said.  We all had fun and Hailey won't stop thanking me. 

I'm so glad the plan worked out.
