[How did it come to this? After all we've been through? Two of pair now on opposite sides. From the very start with honor we dueled. Watched each other's backs and battled with pride. We're closer than brothers. Now we got to fight each other. We trust our faith to the heart of the cards. I'm standing on dock about to duel against a brain washed Joey. Joey has apparently been brainwashed along with Tea by Marik. Serenity, and Tristan watch the duel from the side. I honestly don't care but since my standard counterpart is friends with them and I have to maintain my disguise I decide to help out. I guess this a better time than never to use my Red Eyes Deck but I'm having a hard time deciding. Do I really want to mess up the dimensions more than I already have? I mean, it can't get any worse right?]
Joey: What are you waiting for, JP? Get ready to duel!
[I decide against it. I've already done enough damage. I won't cause anymore. I place my Dark Magician Deck in my duel disk and get to duel]
3rd Person POV
Joey: You already know what's at stake, so I don't need to explain myself again. What are you going to do? If you win: you kill your best friend. If you lose: you'll die.
JP: (Thoughts) He really isn't my best friend. Well not anymore.
Joey: You ready to play god and play with people's lives? I'm going to enjoy watching you struggle in deciding what to do.
JP: (Thoughts) Maybe I should use my Red Eyes Deck. I'll beat Joey with his own monster. I just won't XYZ Summon.
Joey: Time to do this.
[Joey activates his duel disk]
JP: (Thoughts) No. After this duel, I got to get it out of this dimension. I'll give it to one of my other counterparts. Now I have to concentrate on winning this duel...that's if my standard counterpart would do that.
