Chapter Ten(Fateful Encounter)

"Princess A...Are you okay?"Chen asked worridly nang natumba ako ng dahil sa suntok niya I took off my gear and smiled at him,"Magpahinga muna tayo." Ever since Chen arrived here and started living with us,I asked him to teach me how to fight with my bare hands.At first,he refused to teach me dahil hindi na daw kailangan cause he's there to protect me but in the end napapayag ko pa rin siya. After changing my wet clothes,nagtungo ako sa kusina at kumuha ng isang basong tubig. "Ryu..."I called out when I saw him passing by
"Saan ka galing?"
"Convenience store.."tipid niyang sagot as he shows me a plastic bag
"Ryu,when are you going to test my fighting skills?"tanong ko sa kanya habang pakurap-kurap "Huwag na.."sagot niya at nagsimulang maglakad
"Ryu naman eh!I know that I am not that good but I'm sure na mayroon naman akong improvement,magaling kayang magturo si Chen at sabi niya pa no matter how strong your opponent are as long as you know it's weakness matatalo mo siya.That's why I realized that Chen is a good teacher."
"Okay fine!!Just stop complementing that goon,tch.." Bakit ba siya nagagalit,may na sabi ba akong masama.I think mine-mens na naman yun!Hmp! I put on my gears at nag-stretching.It is my first time to have a battle with Ryu,malamang iniisip niya na matatalo agad ako.Asa siya,cause I'll make sure that I'll make him realize that I can also fight.
"Princess A kaya mo yan ."Chen cheered
I replied a smile to him to assure that I am not gonna disappoint him. "Safety first okay.."Onnichan muttered as he smile at us Meanwhile,as usual Arthur's been standing in a corner letting off a smirk in his stupid lips.The two of us positioned and waited for Onnichan's signal. Onnichan blow on his whistle and uttered,"Fight!!!!"
I made the first move to show them what I learned,I threw punches on Ryu's face which he kepts on avoiding.Well,what would I expect from a great member of the Kingdom. I gathered all my strength and lift my foot on the ground and kick him but to my disappointment,he stoppped it with his two hands.
"My turn.."he whispered
Bahagya akong natulala when I felt the wind as his fist pass beside my face and for sure If ever natamaan ako nun,I would have been lying on the ground right this moment.Again,he threw a punch on me which I avoided succesfully.He ran towards me and tried to knocked me on the foor,but thanks to my long legs I successfully turned the tables on.I knocked him on the floor and I positioned myself on top of him to make sure na hindi na siya makawala.
"I think it's my victory."I murmured
Instead of getting pissed,he let out a smirk on his lips and pushed me to the ground.Yeah,he just turned the table the way around.Pumaibabaw siya sa akin at ngumiti nang nakakaasar.He hold on to my wrists tightly and pinned me to the ground
"Never declare a victory if you haven't finished the battle yet,Princess."
I gathered all my strength and tried to free myself from his grip but he tightened it more. Why,why is my heart beating so fast??I can even feel how big my sweats that's been forming on my forehead. Bahagyang napaupo si Ryu nang inilayo siya ni Chen mula sa akin,mabuti na lang at lumapit si Chen. "HHAHAHA Kahit natalo si Abby we still all witnessed that she learned a lot from Chen."Onnichan uttered awkwardly
"I defeated you so that means I am much better than him.Next time no need to ask him to teach you,ako na ang magtuturo sayo."Ryu said
He was about to grab my wrist nang iniwas ko ito.He was looking at me confusely kaya umiwas ako ng tingin.
"I--I--I need to rest."I uttered at nagsimulang maglakad paalis Damn why am I stuttering?!Tubig,kailangan ko ng tubig! Dumiretso ako sa kusina at nilagok ang isang basong puno ng malamig na tubig. Hinimas ko ang dibdib ko at huminga ng malalim.Hayyyysss,ano bang problema.
"You okay!"
"Bweset ka!You startled me you jerk!"bulyaw ko sa nakangising si Arthur
"Paano ka nakarating dito?Did you just teleported?!"
"Is that what's important right now?I think it's more important to know what's wrong with you."sagot niya
"Wala ito,ayos lang ako." "Tch.You don't know how to lie." "Okay fine!I admit it,something's wrong with me.My heart's beating so fast,I think--I got some heart abnormalities."
He stared at me for a moment and burst out laughing which made my eyebrows raised. "What's funny?" "HAHAHAHA...Stu----pid!!"he uttered and hit my forehead "Your dead if I'll catch you!!"I shouted as I chased after him "Arthur buksan mo ito!!"
I continuously knocked on his door,pero halos sumakit na lang ang mga kamay ko pero hindi talaga binuksan ng loko.Tss..you're dead meat tomorrow.
"Princess.."
Waahh there goes my heart again...Kailangan ko na atang magpa-check up.
"Gusto sana kitang i-invite pumunta sa amusement park bukas.I know that you really wanted to go there with King Lii pero sana ayos lang sayo na ako ang kasama mo.It's okay If you refuse I'll just---"
Hindi ko na hinintay matapos magsalita si Ryu at niyakap ko na siya ng mahigpit.
"Thank you,Ryu.."
"You're welcome,Princess!"he answered as if he already know what I am about to say
It's 6 in the morning gising na ako due to excitement.I've been always wanting to went on an amusement park,isang beses lang akong nakapunta sa amusement park with my father and I can even count it on my fingers how many times it only happened because of his busy schedule. I took out a black skirt and white blouse from my closet at pinarisan ito ng sandals.Right after fixing myself nagtungo ako sa kusina at dun ko naabutan sila Onnichan habang kumakain ng almusal.
"Good morning Abby.."Onnichan greeted
I smiled at him and greeted him back."Princess A,you look so gorgeous!"Chen uttered
"Thank you Chen.."
"Ryu halika na dito at kumain."Onnichan said
Ryu walked to us in his gray tshirt and black tattered pants,kunot-noong tinignan naman siya ni Chen.
"Bakit bihis na bihis ka din?Huwag mong sabihing may lakad kayo ni Princess A?"
"Who gave you a damn permission to call her like that?!"sumbat naman ni Ryu Bago pa magbangayan ang dalawa ay pumagitna na ako.
"We are going to an amusement park."I uttered
Chen pouted and said,"Ang daya naman ba't kayo lang.I want to go with you Princess A.."
Ang cute niya,para siyang batang nagpapaawa para payagan."I would also like to Chen but the problem is we only have two tickets."
"Yeah there are only two tickets available and all the tickets were sold out."
"Who asked you,huh?!!!"sigaw ni Chen sa nakangising si Ryu
"Too bad,gusto ko pa man din sumama."Onnichan uttered in despair
"I both tickets.."
Napalingon naman kaming lahat sa nagsalita na si Arthur.
"I saw you two yesterday and I accidentally heared about the amusement park thing.Alam ko namang imposibleng bumili ng tatlong extra tickets si Ryu para sa amin,kaya bumili ako nang tickets."
"Mabuti naman pala kung ganun."Onnichan seconded "Wow,I never thought that you can think like that."I teased Arthur only responded with a smirk.
"Now,ayos lang kung di kana sumama Ryu,I will be the one to protect Princess A!"sambit ni Chen at kunot-noo naman siyang tinitigan ni Ryu
"Kailan ka pa nakapagbihis?"takang taong ni Onnichan
"Nagbihis ako habang nag-uusap kayo kanina."
"You're not that excited,aren't you?"I asked sarcastically at ngumisi siya
"Hehe,ganyan ba kahalata na excited ako?"he stated the obvious
"Tsss...That's what you get sa pagsubok mong suluhin siya."Arthur mumbled
"SHUT your mouth!."Ryu hissed at nauna nang lumabas ng bahay Pagdating namin sa amusement park,agad kung inilibot ang aking paningin sa paligid.The entire place look so awsome,how I wished na kasama namin si Dad.
"Princess A,sakay tayo dun!"pag-aaya ni Chen at saka ako hinila papunta sa itinuro niyang ride Hindi ko alam kung anong tawag dun pero basta ang alam ko ay nag-enjoy ako.
"How about we go for that one next?"Onnichan uttered
Halos nanginig ang mga tuhod ko ng tignan ko ang ride na tinutukoy niya.It was the ride which I rode for the first time with my father na kung saan napaiyak ako ng dahil sa takot and I swore that day that I'm not gonna ride that one ever again. "Vikings?Sounds enteresting."Chen uttered
Gosh!Even just hearing it's name scares me.
"You don't have to force yourself to ride that one."Ryu whispered "May problema ba Abby?" Umiling-iling ako't ngumiti,"Wala Onnichan."
"Ganun ba?Then,what are we waiting for,tayo na!"
Tinignan ko si Ryu at nginitian,"I'm okay.."I uttered Isa-isa naming pinuno ang isang line nang seats sa vikings.Chen sat on my left and Onnichan sat beside him then Arthur.Ryu sat on my right side,I took a deep breath as the crew pull down the safety bars. "It's okay,I'm here."Ryu uttered and held my hand tightly
The boat started to swing slowly,the wind started to brushed my long-dark black hair.The surroundings was filled with screams and cries,my eyes start to water.How I wish for it to finish soon but I don't think time's cooperating with me cause the time runs slowly. Ryu held my hand tightly kaya napatingin ako sa kanya and I can't even stopped my tears from falling down.Pakiramdam ko parang akong mahuhulog at mamamatay,huhuhu di ko na kaya. Ryu put his left hand to my shoulder at inilagay niya sa aking mukha ang kanang kamay niya.Inihrap niya ang mukha ko sa kanya. "Listen to me,okay?Tumingin ka lang sa akin."he uttered warmly
"I'm here."paulit-ulit niyang sambit hanggang sa matapos na ang nakakamatay na pag-andar ng bweset na barko
Pagkatapos namin sa vikings nagpunta kami sa isang kainan."You should have told me na hindi mo pala kayang sumakay dun!Bakit mo pinilit?!"galit na sambit ni Onnichan
"Kinaya ko naman Onnichan." Napabuga na lamang siya sa hangin at naupo. "Sorry Onnichan if I made you worry."nakayuko kung sambit Pagkatapos naming kumain ipinapagpatuloy na namin ang paglilibot.Nung una gusto na sana ni Onnichan na iuwi na ako but I pleaded him at promise that I am fine. "Onnichan,let's ride that one!"I said
"Sigurado ka bang hindi ka takot diyan?"
I raised my right hand and smiled,"Yes,I'm okay with that one."
Right after riding that one Chen grabbed me to another ride.Right after the ride we bought ice creams,syempre di yun pwedeng mawala. Habang masaya kaming nagkwekwentuhan,Ryu caught my attention na tahimik lang na nakaupo.Lumapit ako sa ice cream store at bumili ng chocolate ice cream which is my fav and Ryu also.Nilapitan ko siya at nginitian.
"What's wrong?"
"Wala.."tipid niyang sagot
"Ito ice cream,our fav.." "Nah..sayo na lang yan." "Wow,did you just refused?Noon nakikipag-agawan ka nga palagi sa akin ng chocolate ice cream eh."
Inilapit ko sa ilong niya ang ice cream hanggang sa nalagyan ito."Princess ano ba!Nadumihan tuloy ang matangos kung ilong." Tinignan ko siya ng masama dahil sa kayabangan niya."Kainin mo na nga yan."
He laughed timidly ng tinanggap niya ang ice cream.Tch...tatanggapin din naman pala eh.
"Ryu ano ba!!"bulyaw ko sa kanya nang itulak niya ang kamay ko na may hawak ng ice cream kaya ayon nadumihan tuloy ang mukha ko "Haha sorry.."sambit niya at pinunasan ang mukha ko gamit ang panyo niya
"Sinasadya mo eh.." "Hindi..."nakangiti niyang sambit Pagkatapos naming kumain nagyaya na si Chen na pumunta sa venue kung saan papanoorin ng lahat ang fireworks show "Sandali,magbabanyo lang ako saglit."pagpapaalam ko sakanila "Would you like me to accompany you?"Ryu asked "Ayaw ko nga,PERVERT!!!"bulyaw ko at umalis na
Pagkatapos kung magbanyo,napatingin ako sa oras sa aking cellphone.It's already 4:30 malapit nang magsimula ang firework show,kailangan ko nang magmadali. I was on my way back to where they are waiting for me nang may mabangga ako.Napaaray naman ako sa sakit ng napaupo ako sa lupa. "Sorry,are you okay?"a man uttered as he offer his hand to me
His familiar voice made me nervous,it can't be him.I slowly raised my head at bumungad sa akin ang napaka-familiar niyang mukha.
"Abby..."he uttered softly
I can see through his eyes how surprised he is to see me and so do I. I gritted my teeth and mumbled his name,"Yuun..." Dahan-dahan akong tumayo mula sa pagkakaupo,he tried to helped me pero umiwas ako. "Don't touch me."
"I know that I have no right to complain but It hurts me the way you said my name as if it's a poison."he said
Why is he f*cking staring at me with those sad eyes?!
"Yuun-sama!Yuun-sama!"tawag ng isang lalaki sa kanya
He then dragged me behind a tree nang dumating ang lalaking tumatawag sa kanya. "Let.."
Napatigil ako sa pagsasalita nang takpan niya ng isa niyang kamay ang bibig ko
The footsteps started to walked away kaya dahan-dahan niyang tinanggal ang kamay niya sa bibig ko. "Why did you hid me?Dapat pinahuli mo na ako sa kasamahan mo."
"I won't do that."
"Well you stop prentending!!Like you care!"I hissed
"I'm not pretending."
Damn don't be stupid!All his words are rubbish. He hug me tightly to the point that I can't breath."Bitawan mo ako.."
"I'm sorry.."he whispered
In every words he utter,it feels like I am being stab in the heart.I'm so mad pero mas nasasaktan ako. My heart almost stop when his warm lips touched my forehead. "Yuun,why did you did it?"I asked in pain referring about what happened in the kingdom back then
"I have my reasons Abby,reasons that you'll never understand."
"Is there some reasons,which is reasonable enough to kill my father?"I asked
He wiped my tears with his hands and looked at me with his agonizing eyes.
"Bitawan mo siya."bulyaw ni Ryu at kaagad sinunggaban ng suntok si Yuun
Ryu's been punching him pero ni isang beses hindi siya gumanti,ano ba talagang binabalak niya.Yuun started to threw up some blood,I don't know if this is the right thing to do but I can't bear to watch anymore.Nilapitan ko si Ryu at sinubukang pigilan pero ng dahil sa bugso ng galit niya naitulak niya ako palayo. Napahawak ako sa kamay kung dumurugo na tumama sa puno ng matumba ako.Gulat na napatingin sila sa akin at nang tumigil sa pagsuntok si Ryu,sinipa siya ni Yuun at sinuntok nang tatlong beses sa mukha. "I told you that never let yourself drowned with your anger cause you'll hurt your love ones."
"Who the f*ck you are to tell me that?!"Ryu shouted
Kwenelyuhan siya ni Yuun at tinitigan ng masama,"You've just hurt her...that's why I punch you.The second one was to made you realized.The third one was to stopped you from destroying my face,cause if I'll let you they'll suspect and start hunting you two."
Yuun stood up and looked at us,"I hope this is the last time we'll meet,hide and stay away from any mafia bussiness.I can't assure that I'm not gonna kill you two the next time we'll meet."
We stared at him as he walks away from where we are. I invited Ryu sa isang ferris wheel para mapanood namin yung fireworks dahil kung pupuntahan pa namin sila panigurado na hindi na kami makakaabot. Pinunasan ko ang dugo sa labi niya gamit ang tissue na dala ko habang hinihintay namin ang fireworks. "Princess.."he mumbled
I smiled at him and said,"I'm fine.."
"His not.."
"Ryu,let's not talk about him okay.."
He was about to say something nang marinig naming may pumutok sa kalangitan,the firework show started already. "Wow..."I gasped
"Ryu let's come back here again,someday.."I said with a smile painted on my lips
Ryu nodded and responded me with a smile.He stood up and wrap his arms on me.
"I'm sorry at natulak kita kanina."
"No,you don't have to."

Ryu's Pov
She's smiling but I know that she's been hurting inside.Simula nang makita namin si Yuun sa amusement park noong nakaarang Linggo,Abby's been not quite herself.She keeps on smiling to hide here pains and I hate to see that. "Guys tikman niyo ang gawa kung cookies.." She flinched in pain nang tumama ang kamay niya sa mainit na parte ng oven. "Damn,will you be careful?!"Arthur muttered
"Let's get it treated,Princess." "Hahaha no need to worry Ryu,I'm fine."she answered and smiled
"She's not fine."Kuya Jacob mumbled
"Ano ba talagang nangyari nung nagpunta tayo sa amusement park?"the gangster guy asked
I stood up and sinundan si Abby,inagaw ko sa kamay niya ang hawak niyang burn ointment.She looked at me confusely with her eyebrows knitted. "Let me help you apply it."
"Aray,dahan-dahan naman."she complained
"Sorry.."sambit ko at hinipan ang bahagi ng kamay niya na napaso "Be like this.."
"Huh?"
"I mean,complain whenever you want to.Cry whenever you're in pain.I want you to stop prentending to be strong.Nandito kami,so you don't have to hide your true feelings." "Ryu..."she uttered as her tears fell down from her sad eyes
I slowly laid her in her bed nang makatulog siya sa kaiiyak.
"Don't leave me...please..."she mumble in her sleep
"I won't leave okay,I promise.." "Thank you....Yu--un." My eyes slightly widened.I stared at her peaceful face at hinawi ang buhok na tumatakip sa mukha niya.
"It's Ryu,Princess."I uttered my name and smiled bitterly

Yuun's PoV
"Yuun-samma,I already relayed your order to that man." "Good,kailangan walang matira.Kill all those who get in our way."
"Understood Yuun-samma." "Yuun,I heard nagkita kayo ni Abby at Ryu noong nakaraang Linggo." a man in his 40's uttered "General KANEKI.."
"Alam mo naman siguro,na hindi panghabang-buhay na mananahimik ang dalawang yun.You,killed the King with your own hands Yuun."
I lifted my sword at itinapat ito sa mukha niya. "Don't get smart with me.Just mind your own business,Ryu and Abby are mine.I just want to remind you that,General Kaneki."galit kung sambit
He laughed slyly at pinunasan ang dugo sa pisngi niya,"Haha,I'm just reminding you also Yuun.Don't get mad."
I clinched my fist at sinundan ng tingin ang papalabas na general,"Arrogant!!"I mumbled
