Chapter Two(The Betrayal)

Ryu's PoV
"Yuun!" I uttered as I gritted my teeth due to anger
"I never imagined that we'll be fighting each other with the swords we choosed together that time,Ryu."he uttered
He's not the same Yuun anymore.. How could he put a smile in his face after what he did...
"I don't want anyone to interfere with us.."
"Hai!We understand Yuun-sama." guard 2 replied
"You bastard!!How--could you do this!"
"Just like what I said,I have my reasons."
"What the hell are those damn reasons that made you betrayed the King...The man who took care of us."
I draw my sword and pointed it at him,I'm fighting him with the thought of protecting the Princess. When I found an opening I attacked Yuun immediately, itinapat ko sa leeg niya ang espada ko.
"Tssss,You can't kill me Ryu." he uttered slyly
I held my sword tight to stop the trembling of my hands.
"Ahhk.."
Natumba ako ng may sumaksak sa tagiliran ko.
"I said don't interfere!" Yuun shouted
"Sorry Yuun-sama." Yuun sighed and looked at me,"It's the result of your hesitation Ryu."
Before he could stabbed me a smoke covered us.
"Ryu-sama follow me."
It was Mathilde-san,I lift the Princess and followed her.
"Let's hide here for now."she uttered
"Princess..Get hold of youself!" I uttered habang inaalog ko siya "Ryu..Dad is--Dad is--"
I wiped her tears and hugged her tight, "Stay strong for that's what your father wanted you to become."
"Ryu am I going to die?"
"No..I won't let that to happen." "Ryu-sama let me take care of your wound." Mathilde-san uttered
"No thank you I'll do it myself,just take care of the Princess for a minute."
I tried to hide my weakness from the Princess but I failed to keep it in.    
         Yuun how could you do this?I already picture out myself while protecting you and the Princess together with the whole kingdom..
"How----could you..We've been like siblings you----bas---tard!!!" I uttered while punching the floor until blood starts to flow from my fist
I mustn't let the Princess saw me while shedding tears..Damn it!

Abby's PoV
"Waaaaah..."
"What's wrong Abby?" Yuun asked
"I really hate Ryu!He put a frog under my pillow!"
"Ryu why did you do it?"
Now your a dead meat Ryu..
"I'm just playing Yuun it's no big deal."
Playing?!Grabe sarap din kutusan nitong lalaking ito.
"Do you think it's funny you stupid?!"I uttered as I jerked my forefinger to his direction
"Ryu apologize to Abby."
"Yuun nagbibiro ka ba?Why should I!"
Yuun threw a death glare to Ryu kaya ang loko napayuko at humingi ng tawad sa akin ng wala sa oras.Haha buti nga sa kanya.
"Abby,Yuun,Ryu..Hali na kayo at kakain na."Dad called
"Okay po." I answered with a big smile painted in my lips
*Bang*
The whole world stopped as the little Yuun pulled the trigger while pointing his gun to my father.
"I am now the new King.." he uttered while smiling
"DAD!!!!!!"
"Princess wake up!"
When I opened my eyes I saw Ryu in front of me while holding my hands.Kaagad akong napayakap sa kanya ng mahigpit at napahagulhol.
"I saw it again...I saw my Dad being killed again..."
He continued caressing my back and whispered some comforting words. "Everything will be fine,for now let's move to another place."
Now that he metioned it...
"Nasaan na ba tayo?" I asked
"We are now hiding in a small cave located in a forest 5 km away from the palace it may not be that far but it is hard to find." Ryu explained while wiping my tears
Napatingin ako sa tagiliran niya kung saan siya nasugatan.
"Your hurt,because of me." I muttered as I touch his wound gently
Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko and he look at me directly in the eye.
"I'm fine and it's not your fault,so don't blame yourself."
"Ryu-sama!Your highness!We need to move before they catch on us."Mathilde-san uttered
Ryu grab his sword and stretch his other hand,"Let's keep moving Princess."
I reach his hand and stood up.
Mathilde-san lead the way while I and Ryu tailed her. Napa-upo ako at napahawak sa tuhod ko ng dahil sa pagod. "Mathilde-san let's take some rest." Ryu exclaimed while looking at me
"Okay Ryu-sama,I'll just look for some fruits for us to eat." Mathilde-san uttered and went on her way
My eyes started to watered once again,everytime my brain wents blank the memories that time keep coming back.The memories of how my father died in the hand of my childhood friend,my first love. "Princess!" I snapped out from the nightmare of the reality when Ryu held my face.Tears fell down from my eyes. I'm in pain.... Nagulat ako ng niyakap ako ng mahigpit ni Ryu.
"Ryu.."
"Shhh..Don't say anything.." he mumbled
I closed my eyes and I let myself to calm by Ryu's warm hug.
"Ryu-sama!Your Highness!I've found a tree where we can take shelter for tonight."
"Great Mathilde-san,now let's go to that tree." Ryu uttered and smile
Once again we follow Mathilde-san,hanggang sa makarating kami sa mismong punong sinasabi niya. The cold night came immediately,after eating some fruits nagpunta ako sa isang malapit na ilog.I stared at the clear water of the river reminiscing all those wonderful memories.Napako bigla ang tingin ko sa bracelet na suot ko.It is the bracelet given by Yuun,he also have one and Ryu too. Napangiti ako ng mapakla when I remembered that it is our friendship bracelet,the bracelet which witnessed our promises to each other back then.
"Yuun we promised that we'll be together forever,bu--t..b--ut why did you leave me and Ryu behind?"
I gritted my teeth to stop myself from crying over a spilled milk. I removed the bracelet at saka tinitigan..It's not worth keeping it.. I tried to throw it in the river but in the end I failed,I can't afford to just toss away such precious memories of ours.There must be an explanation of all of this,maybe Yuun was possessed that time.
"Princess..Ano bang iniisip mo at parang mas malalim pa sa ilog na ito."Ryu uttered as he sat down beside me
"Wala.."
"Well,kung wala kang iniisip then you won't mind lending me some of your time?" he asked and offer his hand to me
"Huh?Bakit?"
"Basta..malalaman mo if you'll come with me."
I reach his hand and let him lead the way. Umakyat siya sa isa sa mga sanga sa puno and he extended his arm to reach mine. "Wait,are you telling me to climb?Can't you see I'm wearing a japanese kimono."
"Nah it's fine,dali na reach my hand."
Wala na din naman akong magagawa for I am so curious na kung ano ang ipapakita niya. After a long climbing session nakarating din kami sa tuktok. "And then?Anong gagawin natin?" I asked
He pointed his hand to the sky kaya napatingin din ako sa langit and there I saw a lot of stars twinkling in the sky.
"Wow...." I uttered due to much amazement
"It may not be a joyful time for us but still I would like to greet you cheerfully.Happy birthday Princess."
Nang dahil sa ngiti ni Ryu I think nabawasan ng kaunti ang lungkot na nararamdaman ko.I didn't expected that my 16th birthday will be like this but still I'm greatful that  I still have someone on my side. "Thank you.."
     The cold atmosphere wake me up,I wandered my eyes around and saw Mathilde-san sleeping beside me.
"Ryu?" I stood up and look for Ryu. Saan na naman kaya siya nagpunta. I suddenly stop along the way when I noticed a red liquid in the way.I knelt down para masuri ang pulang likido. "Blood??" I murmured
No it can't be..
"Ryu..Ryu..where are you."
Hindi pwede,I can't afford to lose anyone again.
"Ryu..Ahhhhh.." *booghs* Hinimas ko ang binti ko ng dahil sa sakit ng madapa ako. I need to stand..I need to look for him..
I tried forcing myself to stand pero mas lalo lang sumakit ang paa ko. "Ryu!!!" I called out while shedding tears
"Princess?" Ryu uttered worridly and run towards me
"What happened?"
I hit his chest when he leaned closer to me.
"Stupid Ryu!Where the heck did you went without telling me?"
Damn why are these tears always fall in my eyes..Nagiging iyakin na ako. "Sorry,hindi kasi ako makatulog so I decided to look for some foods."he explained
"I saw blood in the way,are you hurt?"
"Ah..that blood,medyo napalakas kasi ang paggalaw ko when I saw a rabbit so the wound open up."
I lift his shirt and saw his wound bleeding.
"Let me cure your wound." I uttered and tried to stand on my feet at huli na nang maalala kung masakit pala ang paa ko.
"It looks like you're the one who needed help." he uttered trying to piss me off
"Kaya kung tumayo--ahh.."
I held my ankle trying to surpress the pain in it. A curve formed on Ryu's lips which turned into a smirk. He suddenly lift me kaya nakatikim tuloy siya ng sapak. "Put me down!"
"Stay still." He gritted his teeth kaya napatahimik ako
"Kung hindi mo ako ibababa,your wound will open up more."
"My wound will open up more if you'll keep moving."
He is right,if I keep on moving his wound will open up more. I don't want to hurt Ryu anymore and I don't wanna be a burden anymore.
"Good girl.."he uttered when I stop on moving
Nang makabalik kami sa camp,Mathilde-san wrap a piece of cloth in my ankle kaya hindi na masyadong masakit.He also closed Ryu's wound.We really are lucky to have Mathilde-san in our side.
"Your Highness!Ryu-sama!We have to leave.They already found out that we are hiding here." Mathilde-san said as she grab all her things
Ryu get his sword at saka niya ako nilapitan. "Get on my back.."
"Ryu I can still move,hindi mo na ako kailangang kargahin." I opposed
"Princess don't be such a hard-headed.."
I held his hand and look directly at his eyes."Ryu please I don't want to be a burden anymore.So,please trust that I can do it."I pleaded
Ryu patted my head and smile,"Okay Princess,but promise kapag hindi mo na kaya just tell me." I smiled at him as a response,at saka tumayo. "We go this way."
We followed Mathilde-san pero hindi kami nakawala sa ibang kawal. "Halt!!!" A guard shouted as they fired some bullets to us. "Mathilde-san protect the Princess." Ryu exclaimed habang hinaharangan niya ang mga humahabol sa amin.He send those bullets back to them by swaying his sword.Ni isang bala ay walang nakalagpas. Nagpatuloy kami sa pagtakbo ni Mathilde-san while Ryu tails us. Their not firing just bullets right now for they also fire some arrows to us. At this rate Ryu won't be able to stop all of this.He needs help.
"Your Highness!Hide at my back and make sure to stay close." Mathilde-san uttered and threw some daggers to our enemies.
"Let me fight!"I said as I tried to get the knife in the bag
Ryu snatched the knife from my hand and uttered,"You're not allowed to touch any weapons."
Wala na akong nagawa kundi ang sumunod na lamang sa gusto nila. "Surround them and capture the Princess."
My eyes opened wide when I saw the man who just uttered those word. "General Kaneki!" I gritted my teeth and clinched my fist
How could he?!He was even the right hand of my father,how could he betrayed him?!My father who trusted him and protected him.
"Damn!We need to run!"Ryu shouted
I let myself being drag by Ryu without my presence of mind. I really just can't believe that those people who were closed to my Dad were the one who would betrayed him. *splaaak*
Bumalik ako sa katotohanan nang may narinig akong naputol. I looked behind and saw my bracelet lying on the ground. Maybe it is the right time to leave all those memories behind,all those memories with Yuun.
"Abby please show your smile."
Why can't I forget your voice and face Yuun,why do you keep on showing me your kind face,on how you smile so kindly to me.
Again,I acted like a fool.I choosed to let go of Ryu's hand and go back to get my bracelet. Nang napulot ko na ang bracelet ko,one those men who kept on chasing us lift his sword. I waited for the sword to stab me but nothing happened.I opened my eyes and saw Ryu standing in front of me,swaying his sword once again to protect me from being killed.Ryu stabbed the man who tried to take my life and took me into a safe place. Luckily we get to escaped from them. I sat under a tree and stared at a wide dale reminiscing all those wonderful memories. I held my bracelet tightly while tears continue falling in my eyes.
"I'm so sorry for having the thought of leaving you behind."
"Ryu,ano ba?!" I asked angrily when he snatched the bracelet from my hand
"Is it the damn reason why you let go of me and risk your life?"
"I'm sorry for making you worry about me,it's just that I can't afford to leave this bracelet behind.So Ryu please,give it back."
Instead of returning the bracelet to me,he threw it at dahil dun ay tinulak ko siya ng kay lakas. "What the hell have you done?!Who gave you the damn permission to threw it?Is it yours,huh?!"
I bursted in tears and looked for the bracelet.
"Hindi mo na yun makikita!"he uttered
"Go away.."
He took a step closer to me and grab my hand,pero umiwas ako. "I said go away!Umalis ka!"
Nang makaalis na siya,I stayed for hours looking for my bracelet but it's nowhere to be found. "Your Highness!Here's your food."
"Thank you Mathilde-san."
"Your Highness!Ryu-sama!Did the two of you fight?"
I caught Ryu while taking a glimpse on me but I just ignored him.Since what happened last night I don't have the guts to talk with him. "Mathilde-san,you said that we are going to Tokyo to look for the man who can help us right?" pag-iiba ko sa topic
"Uh-yes your highness." she replied
Again the atmosphere between us was wrapped with silence. I really hate it kapag hindi ko kinakausap ang kaibigan ko but after what he did,it would really take a longer time before I could forgive him.
"Mathilde-san,how far do we need to go before we arrive in Tokyo?" Ryu asked as we walk on our way
"Just a little bit Ryu-sama.The day won't end before we arrive."
It's been a while since I've been in Tokyo,for these past few years I've been concealing myself inside the palace.
"We've arrived." Mathilde-san uttered while jerking her finger at the city
Nagpunta kami sa isang tagong bahay,where an old man live all by himself. Upon arriving,we received such a warm welcome from him. I soak myself in a tub where a warm bath was prepared just for me. It's been three days since I bathe myself.I feel the fatigue being washed away from my body and I feel fresher than ever. Ahhh..It's feels so good. Staring at my reflection in the mirrror made me remember all the hardships I've encountered for the past three days.After staying in the bathroom for hours,I changed with the clothes which was prepared by the old man. It is comfortable and it doesn't caught much attention for it has a simple design. Nang natapos ako I went to the living room kung saan sila nag-uusap.I saw Mathilde-san and Ryu sitting on a chair while drinking their tea,they already changed their clothes too.
"Your highness,let me offer you some tea." the old man uttered
I smiled at him and sat down to join their conversation.
"Thank you for all of these." I uttered before taking a sip of the tea
"It's a pleasure to serve you,your Highness."
It feels so good to know that their are some people who still give importance and respect to my family.
"Have you bought the plane tickets that we mentioned earlier,sire?" Ryu asked politely
"Yes,Ryu-sama it's already prepared whenever you decide to depart."
"Your highness,what will you do once you arrived in Philippines?" he added
His question made me think for a minute.He's right ano ba ang gagawin ko once we arrived?I don't have any plan. He smile a little bit before giving me a sheet of paper. I opened it and saw an address written inside it.
"It's an address of a certain someone who highly respect your father more than I and I can assure you that he can help you."
"Thank you."
"If you'll excuse me,I'll take my leave for I need to buy some things that might be useful for us." Ryu uttered
He threw a look on me as if he want to say something. "Uhm,would you like to come along Princess?"he asked
Instead of answering I only gave him a stare,kaya para tuloy kaming nagkaroon ng staring contest.
"It would be a good chance for you to explore the city your highness." Mathilde-san added to broke our staring contest
I take a sip of my tea before answering. "I just want to stay here and take some rest." I uttered giving Ryu a cold treatment
I really wanted him to feel that I still hate him for what he had done,and it's a success dahil parang nafeel niya ang gusto kung iparamdam. "Okay,take some rest Princess." he uttered while having such a disappointed look in his face before taking his leave
The old man accompanied me to a room.I threw myself in the soft bed and tightly closed my eyes.
