The Hideout

Rosé jogs a bit faster, making a turn to her left and stops abruptly while catching her breath. It was a Sunday morning, and she was doing her weekly jog towards her secret hideout - an abandoned basketball court - situated on top of a hill near their mansion.

"It's a good thing the weather today is fair, otherwise I'd be in a fit right now." She says aloud to no one in particular as she takes a deep breath again and runs towards her hideout.

In a span of minutes, she arrives and releases a smile. Rosé smiles as she goes to approach a small crate. She opens it and drags out a ball and begans dribbling it as she nears the center court.

Rosé stands still, as she holds the ball with both of her hands. She then releases the ball and starts dribbling it before shooting it - well attempted to shoot anyways.

"Tsk." Rosé says as she missed the shot. She attempts to do it all over again, barely having a shot as her mind was wondering off and was unfocused. She still could not stop thinking about the idea of Jimin liking her younger sister, Lisa.

Rosé releases a small scream as she throws the ball away and sits down on the ground. She places both of her hands over her eyes as she cries softly.

"Don't tell me you're crying just because you keep missing your aim?" A voice speaks, startling Rosé. She turns her head around in the hopes of finding the source of the voice and spots a young man leaning over the graffiti wall, with the ball she tossed away earlier in his hands.

Rosé stands up all of a sudden, dusting off the dirt off her track pants as she clears her throat. The young man eyes her and starts walking near her to toss back to her the ball.

"You seemed troubled. Care to share? I don't bite - unless you want me to." The young man says with a smirk but then his face shows a neutral expression. "But on a serious note. You can trust me - I'm Min Yoongi by the way." He says with a gummy smile as he goes for a handshake.

Rosé looks at his oddly pale-looking yet beautiful hands for a while before shaking it with a nervous smile on her face. "Kim Chaeyoung." She says with a blush on her cheeks as she felt warmth radiate in their interlocked hands.

"Nice to meet you Chae, is it okay for me to call you that?" Yoongi asks as he releases Rosé's hands.

"Uh yeah - su-sure." Rosé stutters as she clears her throat as she begins to be comfortable of Yoongi's presence. "I uh don't mind. But you can call me Rosé though like everyone else."

"But I don't want to be like everyone else." Yoongi says with a gummy smile making Rosé blush more. "Ah sorry if I am blunt or straight forward. I guess this is how I am." He says as he messes his hair a bit. Rosé just giggles at him.

"It's okay. May I ask how you found out of this place?" Rosé asks timidly.

"Hm? Ah well I just opened a neko cafe shop near here and saw this place a few days ago while I was roaming around the neighborhood. I didn't thought someone else comes here, thinking that it was abandoned." Yoongi says as he pulls his sleeves up, revealing his manly arms.

"Oh - I don't often visit here. Just on seldom occasions." Rosé says as she crosses her arms over her chest.

"Like when you're upset with something?" Yoongi asks as he raises his brow in confusion and Rosé shyly nods in agreement. "Well Chae - why don't we play basketball to release the tension eh?" Yoongi suggests as he grabs the ball from Rosé's grasp and dribbles it for a while before shooting it down the hoop.

As soon as the ball reaches the ground and bounces, the two go and chase after it while laughing as they took turns in dribbling and shooting it.

A couple of minutes later, both of them released a heavy sigh as they tried catching their breaths from all the running, chasing, dribbling and shooting.

"You good?" Yoongi asks as he raises his thumb.

"I'm good." Rosé responds as she raises up her thumb as well resulting to both of them laughing.

"Hey. As a token of our new profound friendship why don't I treat you? My neko cafe is just nearby." Yoongi asks a he glances at his watch and then looks at Rosé with his infamous gummy smile.

"Hm. Sure! Oooh ~ I love cats! But just so you know I know martial arts in case you do something funny." Rosé says as she and Yoongi starts walking off.

"Well just so you know too, I don't have an any intention of hurting you at all." Yoongi says with a smile as he starts laughing while jogging away, Rosé following after him with a faint blush over her cheeks.
