Now sneaking around my school is surprisingly easy, especially being in a college prep class. Most teachers let you get away with almost thing, all I had to go is bat my eyes at Toru-Nii to give me the gym key to go through the side entrance of the school and BAM no one sees me. And with me being a manager it wasn't uncommon for me to be in the teachers' lounge with the coaches, usually planning practice matches or talking about the fundraiser that I was planning. Teachers knew I was usually late to classes over that reason, but they never complained about it, seeing how I was at the top of the class.
With me sneaking from one place to the other, poor Kyotani was getting a little frustrated, but he was always at the grate waiting for me, well assuming that he was trying to find me. He would wait until the last bell, most likely being late for his class not that he cared about his attendance.
On Thursday, I started to feel sorry for the Cat, he was starting to pace the gate with an almost scared look. That's when it finally occurred to me that he was worried about me, he had saved me from some CREEPS at NIGHT, poor Mad Dog had thought that I was either kidnapped or hurt.
'Daww,' I thought as I watched my classmate pace the entrance, 'He does have a heart.'
Walking away from the window that I've started watching him from with a small smirk on my lips. This was going better than planned, snickering as I made my way to my classroom to talked to my homeroom teacher.
And then karma decided to rear its ugly head and put me in my place. For the past four days, I had been getting up earlier than usual, making it sure that he couldn't see me. But on Friday morning I woke up late, and by late I mean that I had a few minutes to get dress and fewer to get to class on time.
"Goddamn mornings!!" I yelled as I raced down the stairs and jumping over the mountain of fluff we call a dog. Zilla thinking it was a game, proceeded to jump and hop in my way as I all but flew to the front door. Struggling to get both shoes on and juggle my bags and folder that held my homework. Once out the door, by some miracle, I started running for the school only to slow down for the small traffic we had in the mornings.
The thought of going through the side entrance didn't even cross my mind as sprinted through the main gate. All I could think of was my perfect attendance and how I was going to kill my brother when I got my hands on him, knowing full well he was sitting happily in his own classroom. Still struggling to keep everything in my hands and on my shoulders, I didn't notice the figure that I knew, somewhere in the back of my mind, was still at the gate pacing while looking at the ground. Slamming into the wall that was Kyotani Kentaro, didn't seem to phase me as I threw a quick apology over my shoulder as I scrambled toward the school. In my rush, I didn't notice how I lost a sheet of paper, lucky it wasn't homework but we'll get to that later. Nor did I notice the confused/shocked look on the Mad Dog's face as he finally found the girl he saved, as she was cussing and threatening the evilest things she could think of under her breathe.
Sliding through the hallways, somehow making it to class on time, I was finally able to breathe as I sat down. Looking down at myself I finally noticed the mess I was in; my white button-up shirt wasn't buttoned straight, my poor hoodie that was tied around my waist was slowing falling, my spandex were uneven one side pulled down farther than the other, and my socks were just as bad one not even pulled up. I could only imagine how horrendous my hair looked, probably stand up on end. Sighing as I started to fix my shirt, only to be interrupted as one of my classmates, Shigeru Yahaba. Luckily/unluckily he was a member of the volleyball club, meaning that he was going to enjoy telling the other boys that I, the most punctual person, was nearly late for school.
"My, my don't you look gorgeous day." He snickered sitting on top of my desk.
Shaking my head, I continued to fix myself. "Thank you, dear husband," Looking up at him with a glare, "Such a good husband you are."
"Of course I am!" he boasted, only to have me shove him off my desk. Snickering, he righted himself and started to fix my hair.
Shigeru Yahaba, also know as my dear hubby/husband has been in the same class as me since middle school. My Dear Hubby has never called me his wife, most likely due to a threat from my brother. Not that I mind, Shigeru and I have never thought of each other in a romantic way, we only see each other as a friend and as a fake married couple...just to piss my brothers off.
Once finally put together, hair pulled into a ponytail and clothing straightened out, the class seemed to get started. Time seemed to move rather quickly, and lunch soon came around...Oh how this was going to be a good lunch. Shigeru and I started toward the cafeteria, he seemed to sense the anger that was coming off me in waves. I'm not sure how...I mean so what I had a glare pasted to my face, I have a natural resting bitch face and so what that the rest of the school was parting like the Red Sea to allow me to pass... Okay so it might have been a little obvious but it was well deserved. One does not simply leave their sister asleep while they head to school.
Entering the lunchroom, my eyes immediately locked onto the back of my brother. He was hunched over his ramen; jacket off, sleeves rolled up to his shoulders and his tie thrown over this left shoulder. He had no idea that hell was coming for him and she wasn't going to play nice.
