"You're a terrible human being."
"Gee, thanks Nii-san. You really know how to make a girl feel good about herself."
Swinging the bags at my side, as Hajime and I walked home, "Yeah, well you deserve it."
"Oh, come on. It was a fair trade-"
"Two pieces of chicken are not worth three bags of junk food!!!"
"They were to him. Besides it's a great start, to step one," I stopped in the road, "Or is it step two...three maybe?"
"Maybe you should figure out your steps out before you start dragging the poor boy along."
I let out a loud laugh, making poor Nii-san jump. "I already am!!" I stopped laughing...Now, I fell bad...I blame my damn mood swings from living with Toru, him being fake to almost everyone makes it hard to keep emotions in check. Growing up with two boys that always fought and had two different sets of emotions makes it hard to keep mine straight. I feel like I'm bipolar.
"You good?"
"Am I bipolar?" I asked whipping my head toward my taller sibling.
"What?! No, you're not bipolar."
"But I feel like I go from one emotion to another in 0.1 seconds."
He threw his arm over my shoulder and started to drag me toward home, "You're a teenage girl, of course, your emotions are everywhere. Plus having your first probably isn't helping."
Squeezing my shoulder, he pulled me into a side hug. "You're a smart girl, you'll figure everything out."
"You're right. Thanks, Dad." I snickered only to have my head caught in his elbow as he started to give me a noogie.
Squealing in laughter, I tried to break his hold but seeing how one hand was occupied with the snacks and there was no chance of me dropping the food cause food is life.
"Ok, I take it back." I laughed as pulled on his arm.
Releasing his arm, he cautiously stepped away all but waiting for me to run. Which I'd like to point out I didn't...anyway. Once he was sure I wasn't playing possum, we continued making our way home talking about how to murder Toru-nii with his fangirls knowing it was us.
Getting home, Hajime opened the gate as well as the front door for me letting me enter the house first. Kicking off my shoes out the way of the door, I slipped on my house slippers and headed into the kitchen to ask Mom of my emotions. Only to find that she wasn't there, setting the bags on the counter I did what every kid has done when trying to find their mother.
"MOM!!!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, I waited for the yell back. But it didn't come, raising an eyebrow I pulled out my phone to see if I got any texts from the Life-Bringer of our family.
Nope, nothing.
"Hey, you get anything from Mom?" I asked Aniki as I headed back into the living room, where he was lounging on the couch.
"Yeah, she texted saying she got called in and that we are to fend for ourselves tonight." Nodding my head, it all made sense now. Why we went to the store and why he got so much food.
"Well then, I'm gonna take Zilla for a quick run then we can watch a movie."
"Sounds good," he hollered from the couch as I jogged up the stairs to change into some legging and a tank top. I came back down only to be yelled at, "Put your knee braces on!!"
